Where have you been?? Tigerdirect has been known for not honoring rebates. Whether it is them or the company (Onrebate) that did their rebates for them because Tigerdirect licensed them to. If Asus did your rebate...well their you go. I know what you are meaning is. Your rebate was from third party manufacturer (Asus). Exactly why you did not run into any issue. Many people then turned to complain to Tigerdirect in response to Onrebate company, and Tigerdirect didn't resolve it. Read a bunch of those complaints. My father even tried to get a rebate through Tigerdirect or Tigerdirect's licensed rebate company (Onrebate). He was upset. This whole rebate thing was from 2004 - 2012. Some of this may sound confusing since I was researching it.

Some of these reviews were people fussing about Tigerdirect's customer service.

After all many reports of Onrebate scamming, The state of Florida sued Tigerdirect, Onrebate and parent corporation Systemax based in florida for their USA location, you will notice from some of the reviews above list the location "Miami, Florida". Listed below is a quote from one of the reviews.

Quote "Apparently this company was sued in 2009 by the state of Florida and a settlement was reached out of court. No details are available about the settlement, but I have to assume the thousands of people they ripped off and continue to rip off didn't get a dime of this settlement and it apparently has not changed their business practice. I am frustrated beyond belief and will not actively avoid this company and all of their subsidiaries and plan to tell everyone I know to do the same in every way I possibly can."

4myrebate does the rebate, and they're perfectly reliable. Rebate comes about a week after you mail it in on a card.

Here's a review where 4myrebate was not reliable. It is only one though.

Odd. Just to get an average 45+ fps I had to really lower the graphics, but even at medium the game looked damned impressive!

    Amazon currently has 16gb (2x8) DDR3 1866 Patriot ram for $55 free shipping 1.5v, 10-11-10-30 timing.

Now normally I don't recommend any higher than 1600mhz, nor do I often recommend needing more than 8gb ram.. This is a pretty dang good deal if you DO need 16gb of any kind.

Newegg shell shocker deal in US for $109.99 normally $180.

How does this thing compare to the Asus Xonar Essence STX? Does this thing have a headphone amp?
iirc they are quite on par performance wise but i thought creative soundcards (high end ones) were usually too expensive to compare with similar performing cards.

Tiger Direct has a 'barebones' deal (it's not really much of a barebones).

For about $215 (after rebates) you get

    MoBo: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P AM3+ AMD 760G
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1045T
    RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Cental DDR3 1333
    HDD: 1TB Toshiba 7200 RPM
    PSU: 485w HEC HP485DR
    CASE: Diablotek CPA-9611B

Throw in a 7770, and Win8, and you have a fairly respectable system that can run WoW pretty well for ~$350

Might I suggest that mods or the posters delete their posting when the deal is expired so that current deals are always on page 1 or 2.
Furthermore I suggest that all posters add the expiration of said deal to there post.

Looks like a pretty sweet deal. My only complaint is that the PSU isn't modular

    Great mouse for the price

Hey, didn't want to break any forum rules, but i was browsing amazon, and they have some nice mice for sale, but one that caught my eye was this

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

Is the Logitech G9x, the Modern warfare edition. So if you don't mind call of duty, that price is a steal.

Also this mouse got great reviews and its only 40$ http://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Anker...s=gaming+mouse

Sorry couldn't find the mega thread, i remember there was one.

    AMD Phenom II X4 975 Black 3.6ghz AM3 for $70.

Normally I'm not one to recommend any AMD, when an i3 is usually just as good. However for $70, it's as good as the current gen i3s, last gen i7s, and better than last gens i3's and i5's. It is also on par with the more expensive FX-8350, 6300, and 4300. Perfect option for a gaming system on the cheaps.
