I just logged in and saw this:

Isn't each race meant to have its own background? Normally my dk has the archerus hold place, and my goblin mage has the island stuff, but now all my chars have the orgrimmar background.

Anyone else having this too?:P

its happend to a couple guildies every now in then. not sure what the heck causes it. but it will go back to normal next time you login most likely.

Prolly just a bug...I've seen that happen with my one blood elf horde alt. It'll sometimes show the blood elf background. Other times? Orgrimmar.

I heard this was a bug in the Mac version of WoW, do you play on a mac?

The orc background is the default background for Horde characters. Usually it only shows up for non-orcs when the game hasn't finished being downloaded/installed, or if it's just loading the backgrounds really slowly for whatever reason.

Seems to have sorted its self out now thanks, no i dont use a mac, no i didnt delete my WTF folder, and my download was at 100% complete, so just some random occurance i guess.

Bug it happened to me the other day. its fixes itself after a day or 2.

neither as Rivin is the default background for Horde (ally have the human/stomwind one) yuo get it if yuo havent fully downloaded/installed it has ben like this for a long time now.

it happens when you delete cache.. not just wow/cache but wow/data/cache, thats where textures are unpacked..
when you deleted it during cata, you could have still picture instead of moving deathwing on login screen
its normal, textures sometimes can take a while to extract so game uses placeholder

and if you had fully donloaded game and you didnt delete cache, files may still got corrupted etc... if your ingame textures are showing right, you have nothing to worry about, charscreen will be fixed in some time

also for loading screen, just click on some other characters you have and when you click back, background should be loaded

created the 2nd dk before i transfered to this server just as something to level up for alt runs.
