Howay the lads!
I like the ambient of Terokkar Forest and its weird sounds.
Also love the music from Lich King expansion, specially Stormpeaks and Dragonblight.
And perhaps the mountains from Kun-Lai and fields from Valley of the four winds.
Pre-TBC I like elwyn forest basically because of nostalgic about firsts days in wow.
pre Cata Azshara, shame what happened to it, i love the "autumn in the pacific northwest" look to it. Grizzly hills kind of recaptured some of it, but it wasnt the same.
Definitely Howling Fjord... it looks amazing, has an amazing theme, as was an all-around amazing zone.
Some other that come close are Sholazar basin, Grizzly Hills, Jade Forest, and Vashj'ir
“Do not lose time on daily trivialities. Do not dwell on petty detail. For all of these things melt away and drift apart within the obscure traffic of time. Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead.” ~ Emily3, World of Tomorrow
Words to live by.
Mulgore, Nagrand, Jade Forest, Vashj'ir...
So many beautiful places...
I guess my favorite would be...
Uh...
I guess Mount Hyjal inside the CoV is great aswell.
This is a hard one, but I'd have to say Icecrown.
It wasn't what it was supposed to be, according to the Frozen Throne, but I have a lot of fond memories of doing dailies while flying over the landscape, getting a real sense of the epic fight that was coming. We waited a long time to finally confront Arthas, and the zone really made you feel like you were working toward that.
Definitely Nagrand. I love the sky, the green, the water, the wildlife, everything about that zone.
I can't possibly choose one from all great-looking zones in WoW, I hope you don't mind me picking several:
Nagrand, Shadowmoon Valley, Loch Modan pre-cata, Elwynn Forest, Duskwood pre-cata, Ghostlands, Grizzly Hills, pre-cata Stranglethorn Vale, and Jade Forest.
I love a good forest, but the dwarven feel of Loch Modan with the snowy mountains of Dun Morogh at the border, and the powerful feel of Shadowmoon, is hard to beat.
Cave Cave Deus Videt
For a long time ago It was Nagrand.
For now... maybe Howling Fjord. Collaborated with Melodic Death Metal It's sooo sweeet, If you know what I talking 'bout
Icecrown and Howling Fjord i reckon, i am a huge fan of the wotlk zones.
1. Nagrand
2. Western Plaguelands
3. Eversong Woods
4. Terokkar Forest
Jade Forest, used to be Nagrand
Winterspring and Storm Peaks (that music!). Deadwind Pass, for nostalgia as much as anything.
A lot of MoP is very beautiful too, especially the snowy places.
I've got so many favorite zones...
- Pretty much all WotLK zones except Borean Tundra
- Eastern and Western plaguelands pre-Cataclysm
- Eversong Woods
- Hyjal pre-Cataclysm (closed zone)
- Tirisfal Glades
Same. Elwynn is just where I feel I belong haha (in WoW duh). It was the first area I saw in WoW and the music and calmness of the area is just amazing. The other is Nagrand. Just beautiful everytime I go there - also have a lot of anticipation when I level a new alt to visit this zone. The sky is amazing. The Valley of the Four Winds is my favourite in Pandaria.
Azshara, before it got ruined.
I remember coming there for the first time in vanilla, lvl 50 something, doing those few broken quests from begining, then exploring the reaches, farming the wildlife for grays to vendor and gold.
The music, the atmosphere...god I miss it.
Mulgore, still remember my first night playing in vanilla. fond memories.
Storm peaks is a firm second.
Never see anyone else pick this. But my fav zone has always been zangamarsh.
Aye mate
Ashenvale, pre-cata before Blizzard raped it.
