I just got one of these devices and there are a few things I can't figure out. One of them is how to get voice chat to work.

I connected my USB microphone and it was detected, with the correct name and everything. I can select it in the PS3 settings as "audio input" or what it was called, so that should be good enough for the hardware right?

I still can't open a voice/video chat though, nothing happens whereas a text chat opens immediately if I try that. Also, will that type of voice chat work while I'm in game, or is voice chat only for those games with built-in functions for voice chat?

I suppose an alternative is to use skype on a pc, but then it becomes a huge wiring mess getting all the audio to the headphones. I think I would need to get a mixer table.
