    the pixelated tf2 comes from fps configs which is there to increase your fps and just help tf2 run better on your machine, I'm running a config called chris's highframes and its working out great for me but its not to everyones liking I guess.

    I realise that as well, though I still generally like to see my gun. I just think it looks weird without...

    I used to run those fps configs on my older laptop which couldn't really run TF2 that well, those configs helped miracolously. I don't need them now however, still, at least chris' configs looked decent and not like you was playing Team Minefortcraft 2.

    it only looks like minecraft if you use the maxframes, the rest look fine though, its just a get used to thing and generally the scout aim improves if you remove the viewmodel for scattergun.

    OT: My hand starts to hurt from playing to long. The amount of practice you need to get a perfect aim down is ridiculous.

    Not exactly, the folks over at the Facepunch forums made this community update they called "The robotic boogaloo", in which they've "robotized" the hats in the game, and apparently valve had some strings behind the curtains being pulled, most of the hats were marked as private on the workshop so no one could see or vote on them.

    Valve are basically going to add most of the robot hats into the game either when TF2 steampipe is live, or a few days after that, since steampipe is going to make updating the game much more easier for them, and make the make smoother and better for you.

    Heh, I was thinking about bumping this thread a couple of days ago.

    Things I'm happy about:
    • Added cp_standin and cp_process
    • Shortstop actually being interesting(+20% healing, +80% push forces).
    • Winger being interesting (+25% jump height(will this open any jumps up?))
    • Cow Mangler sounding like it'll be the de facto Soldier weapon.
    • Powerjack being interesting and I might actually not use my Axtinguisher sometimes
    • Quick-Fix not being terrible...curious to see if it's still bad, or if Vaccinator is the new Quick-Fix
    • Dead Ringer getting a nerf
    • L'etranger being interesting, and probably the new gun of choice

    Things I hate:
    • mvm_bigrock: Fixed players building on rock in cave section
    • Escape Plan being nerfed even more
    • Liberty Launcher being useless now (yeah, it was a crutch before, big whoop, I used it from time to time

    Overall I'm happy...just not used to having to re-learn some weapons. What about you guys?

    I actually tried the dead ringer, the nerf didn't seem that bad except against W+M1 pyros which we died to anyway before the patch, now we will just die a few secs sooner and probably heavys who realize we aren't dead.

    Escape Plan nerf was dumb, the equalizer had already been cut in 2, it didn't need to be nerfed again.
    Quick-Fix honestly seems more appealing now them the default medi-gun. I never did find ubers as useful as everyone else.
    Also heard the winger jump is to powerful.

    the escape plan nerf isn't really a thing to worry about, it won't really affect you except in those insane lol moments when you go huge killing like 6 people wondering why your not dead yet but yeah.

    Things I'm happy with:

    I actually like playing medic again. Quick-Fix has made it so much more fun with my build. I move really fast, even the nerfed overheal is still an overheal. I also always preferred the art and sound effects of the quick-fix too, so all the better. Being immune to movement effects like an airblast has made the uber interesting. I'm not invulnerable, so there's that, but I've walked a heavy out with the intel and they couldn't do anything about it except try to kill us. lol

    Nerf to deadringer. I'm not a big hater on the deadringer, but I like that if you still got a bead on the guy, you can sap his cloak and expose him quicker rather than having to chase him for the duration hoping you stay on target.

    Chargin' Targe getting the immunity to afterburn makes my demoknight more interesting to play. I was using the splendid spleen, but I will give the Chargin' Targe a go, especially against pyros.



    Things I don't like..


    RIP Liberty Launcher. Mostly sad because this thing had almost 2000 kills for me. The extra rocket doesn't make up for the 25% damage nerf. So I guess it's back to the Black Box/Rocket Launcher.

    Escape Plan nerf. I'm not whipping that thing out unless I'm low HP anyway, but now it guarantees I die pretty much. I guess something needed to be done for intel runners, but I dunno.

    The removal of set bonuses. So lame. So much for trolling snipers by being immune to headshots.

    This pisses me off the most so far. I forgot about it on my post, but it makes me (Degreaser + Axtinguisher + Flare Gun) have to actually try against Chargin' Targe. Thankfully I can still Compress and negate their charge, but not being able to simply fire + Axting + lol at Demos is making me sad.

    Just got this game from Steam after hearing all the hype surrounding it, but I'm still very confused about the items and the inventory system. I hear all this stuff about hats, clothing and weapons all with dozen different quality's and that you can buy them trough a store...

    I mean, do they offer any benefits other than looking different and costing more money? If so it's a waste of time and RL curreny just for the sake of an e-peen.
