This doesn't really mean anything. There's going to be times when the Eastern Kingdoms will be night and Kalimdor day, and yet it isn't so in-game (I.E it's a gameplay issue).

Also, the ulduar globes retcon this. Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms are on opposite sides of the globe.

That's a computer projection. It doesn't even show the islands south of the Maelstrom (visible from BT). The view from BT is what it actually looks like.
