    Michelle Obama 2016?

My uncle is convinced that Michelle Obama is going to become the next president in 2016. Her husband became president without any real experience, so it isn't much of a stretch to believe that she will as well. I bet him two tickets to an ice hockey game that she won't be the next president.

What do you guys think, will the Big O stay in the White House for another 12 years?

I got a giggle at the "far-left" poll options. Nothing like making choices unbiased.

Pretty much any political scientist will tell you Obama is a very moderate Democrat.

    wow so shes far left?

last i checked the Obamas were center left in all honesty.

why would she run? she has even less political experience than her husband did before.

It will be more likely be Hilary

Yeah... it's VERY doubtful she will run at all. Even her political experience now as first lady wouldn't be enough, and both she and Obama are smart enough to know that.

This doesn't have a chance in a million of happening. It simply won't happen. It just won't, end of story.

That pretty much sums up my (not typical Republican, I lean libertarian on a great many issues that Republicans don't like me for but anyway, I vote for them as theres no better option so I'll call myself a Republican) Republican reaction.

I really don't know much about her except for the fact that everyone in Utah hates her even more than they hate Obama and socialists. I don't keep up that much on current politics (besides major elections and my own state) if I don't know much about her, most people probably don't know much about her, so I don't see her having enough publicity to win any political office.

I'm more than certain Hillary will be running in 2016, despite her saying she is retiring now that Obama was re-elected. It wouldn't surprise me if she's just going to lay low for the next 4 years and really REALLY cram n' plan a huge campaign for 2016 in these next four years.

I mean, lets face it, wether you agree with Obama's policies or not... Obama has star power and is a tough act to follow. IMO the ONLY person who can follow him on the Dem side currently is Hillary at this point.

...of course a lot can happen in 4 years, and new stars can turn up. After all, who here even heard of Obama before the 2008 elections? Everybody expected it to be Rudy Juliani vs Hillary Clinton in 2008...

Why would they hate her specifically? They got something against her trying to encourage children to eat healthier or something? :P

Won't happen. They're smarter than that. Let's not even mention the debates it would cause, you can ask Mrs Kirchner about those.. and her husband is dead!

I believe she's said she doesn't have the patience for that sort of thing.

She's a supporter of the nanny state, which makes her quite popular among liberal voters.

OK... could you explain what a "nanny state" is without resorting to one-word lables?

The idea that people are too stupid to make decisions for themselves and need the government to do it for them.

"a government perceived as authoritarian, interfering, or overprotective" and has also come to be associated with socialist practices of having the government basically "baby" the populace by being in charge, in control of, and even financing all of its needs."

You know the lazy welfare people that are a tax burden on us all. Typically there dumb, pop out kids left and right, dont want to go on to higher education and make a better living for themselves instead they want what hard working Americans want but without any effort.

Does she any experience herself besides being married to the guy with experience?

I envision those as the typical rural residents of red states.

After all, they have higher poverty rates for a reason.

you guys are forgetting she is going through some serious health issues right now. also 4 years is a long time for someone who is 65(?) i'm sure a 69 year old Hillary wouldn't give 2 shits about politics by then.

Her husband didn't have any experience either, so clearly that isn't a per-requisite for becoming the leader of the human race.

As long as the Republican fail train keeps chuggin' and don't offer a vision of a viable and attractive alternative, she can do whatever she wants and win it
