I shall edit my earlier post. Sorry for the mistype.
Anyway, to summarize (z) what his point is: Guys are turning to video games and porn because it is easier to be entertained by said means instead of engaging in actual meaningful relationships with people of the opposite sex. They are also getting addicted to these medias because of 1. ease of obtaining and 2. no fears involved.
That is a hasty summary, so it might be a good thing to take a look at his work.
It's never smart to correct an Englishman's spelling of his own language but that isn't the point here. I appreciate you summarising the information; in many ways I agree with those results. It's fairly damaging in certain ways, depending on extent and reliance upon pornography.
In fact as far as I'm aware the UK is the only european nation that outright bans guns for civilians. This is why people ban guns. Gun supporters don't know what guns are.Shotguns I'll give you (provided you're allowed 12 and larger gauges... because I mean... come on...) but not .22s.
Depends on how unbalanced, IMO. If they're so far gone they can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality there's going to be trouble no matter what goes on. But if you know your fascination with (insert deviation of choice) would be hurtful to people and you don't do it IRL but use internet videos to let off steam, I'd say it's a good thing. Without that small outlet pressure might build up until you blow up and do something horrible, but this lets you keep it under control.
i believe its partly to blame for lowering birth rates in some countries.
It wouldn't BE an issue if America wasn't such a repressed society with social mores and taboos saying sex=bad and forbidden. I mean if we actually had PROPER sex education and not this "Sex is bad and abstinence is the only form of birth control mmkay." Maybe we wouldn't have such a sexually focused society. I mean America is like the tsundere chick telling Europe and Asia that they are perverts only to be found later in a closet with a lewd magazine(the internet).
I can agree with that. Think of how Portugal handles drugs. They aren't illegal, but rather the money that would have otherwise been spent on locking people up, is spent on rehab and education. Better education on topics like these leads to better decisions. And better education doesn't necessarily mean "sex is bad, and drugs are bad" scare tactics to prevent kids from doing such things. They need to be non-scary, truthful educations. Scary just makes some kids go, "hmmm, I should try that."

tbh...it's a non issue, they'll just get it out of their system sooner and if they don't then it wouldn't matter if it was magazines/dvd's or internet porn they'll still have the problem.
I think the biggest "problems" with porn are that it 1) tends to grossly misrepresent what sex is actually like in the real world, 2) tends to propagate some negative gender stereotypes (eg, most porn tends to depict women getting tricked or seduced into sex vs. them wanting it up front), and 3) tends to be bad with respect to depicting random sex between strangers without the use of protection.
if you mean it creates a generation of men (mostly) who are so desensitized from porn that they can't get "excited" in the real world or that it destroys their sexual drive completely then that makes sense. if you mean violent/real weird porn are somehow going to make people into rapist and pedophiles then that's absolute nonsense. i can look up studies that show that porn use REDUCE the chances of a guy going outside and being inclined to rape someone because back at home they scratched that itch with one else but him involved. and on top of that if the guy is a pedophile he was that way to begin with, you don't take a rational thinking man show him some hentai and he becomes a child toucher, if he had the inclination to do so it was because he was that way to begin with.
