Agreed...
Mainstream... I'd rather just skim the headlines of the mainstream media than to read some of the lunatic fringe "non-mainstream" stuff that's out there. It's much safer and (surprisingly) even less biased.
Skimming headlines = best way to get the news without sifting through too much rubbish. Everything you need (and don't need) to know is pretty much there in the headline...
My resolve: Unless its a headline that's on the same level of an Alien Spacecraft crashing into the White House, I don't read the article.
I never said they were. I get most of my news through the AP and BBC. If I want a chuckle with my news, I'll watch the Daily Show and Colbert Report, since they're intentionally extremist and over-the-top. If we're keeping tabs, I'm a left-of-center, registered Independent.
That being said, Fox has had a decades-long reputation for blatantly taking things out of context, fabricating stories, or stretching farther than Mr. Fantastic to play the conservative victim card against the big mean liberal media.
Bush tanked the economy and got us into two wars. Obama has begun getting us out of them, saw the repeal of DADT, has given his support to equal marriage rights at the courthouse, and the economy is finally starting to pick itself up despite hardline resistance from both the extreme left and the extreme right and an entire Religious Right movement devoted to turning the country into a patriarchal theocracy for the rich. If they're the same then I'm a marmoset. You think there is a diff. between Obama and Bush? Really? If so, you haven't done your homework and are part of the low information voter turnout.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!
It's always good to look for the source material and evaluate what you read no matter where you read it. Most of the time Fox gets shit wrong (horribly wrong), but I happen to think in this instance that the article linked in the OP is misleading and not accurately portraying what was actually said on the segment.
Education has been a tools and means to control for centuries, in fact schools were created when books became available and nobles took an interest in it, so they had priests serve as teachers, who would make sure nothing "heretic" would be taught and would control what type of information was available, reason why first schools and universities were religious institutions, today is different but there is still some degree of control its the state instead of the church (directly at least, apparently the church via state when there are schools that teach creationism and not evolution).
Also if you compare the history books of each country you will notice differences in them, each salts a bit their old enemies glories and spices their own, to instill national pride, or you just have the blunt force approach that you would expect of north korea and have people pl... nvm.

It had to have been a joke. There is no possible, earthly, intelligient way to actually think this is true.
If they don't want it to be called the "distributive property," then they should teach exactly what it is. One of the 10 axioms that must hold for their to be a field. And boom there you go, senior level university mathematics. Is that "liberal" enough for them?
Did you even read the damn article? Come on... The article was called "distribute the wealth", that is pushing the socialist agenda. Its not disputable. Im sick of all these idiots going "hue hue idiot fox" when their argument makes perfect sense. Read the damn article before you say "HUE HUE FOX IDIOTS ALGEBRA ISN'T COMMUNISTS!!! HUE HUE".
How can you say this is fox being stupid? There is a liberal on the show...
Just watch the video.... The title is extremely misleading.

I gotta say; I like norway, where our conservatives aint bat-shit insane and you only find stuff like this in really bad reality tv
Also: keep liberal / conservative bias out of schools!
I've no idea what to write here.
If the picture at the top is what is biased, here is the Conservative Biased page form the same workbook that advocates spending all your money.
This is satire.
This is satire right?
Like, you know, the Onion?
Please tell me this is satire?
HOW IS THIS NOT SATIRE???

Oh and Harbinger called. The Reapers want their "indoctrination" back.
Putin khuliyo
Well apparently they don't like the word "distributive." Which is a generalised named property used to teach algebra. If they don't like it then they have to teach all the math leading up to it that way it stays unambiguous. Which in this case is the field called "Algebraic Structures," which happens to be a senior level mathematics course.

Your little quote here is hardly any better than Fox news... A little digging shows the guy has beef with teachers teaching distributive property with distributing wealth as example. He is not saying distributive property = liberal agenda. Besides... that is some failed education if you ask me -_- How does distributive property relate to distributing wealth?
Anyways, I believe you will have a nice career at Fox news.
