I guess I'm just really bad at starting internet conversations.

I also always think I might interrupt someone in the middle of something if I say hi.

I don't know how to initiate a conversation unless I have something interesting to say so I just let other people initialize it with me

brotherhood is good, haven't watched the old one.
Some of the serious stuff is told in a bit childish naive way, but that anime doesn't seem to be for just adults anyway even though it has gore and stuff.

Do you ever sit with a chat window open for someone for a long time and can't think of a way to initiate conversation but really want to?

And then they go offline and you're like

I'm awful at starting conversations one way or another.
Being socially awkward even with the help of anonymity does not bode well.

Just think if someone like that PM'd you who you never talked much to, or even someone you don't care to talk to, odds are you wouldn't really care and would be willing to talk to them, so just feel free.

That's my logic behind it, anyways, though I don't really apply it myself all that often unless the people I normally talk to are offline :P

Also, it's not just you. It's the vast majority of people. As long as they don't hate your guts, nobody's going to be against you trying to start a conversation, or think 'why is he trying to talk to me'. And then if you do it a bit more, it becomes a regular thing. I've been on both the receiving and dealing end of that stuff.
