Death Note has some nice music.
But yeah, if you want awesome music, watch Fairy Tail. SO. AWESOME.

It's on my to do list. Death note, Full Metal Alchemist and Cowboy Bebop come first however.

Death Note is a good thing to watch after Code Geass, they're alike in the whole psychological/philosophical way.

I think that's why I like them, makes me think I won't like FMA / Fairy Tail however.

Actually since we are on this topic, any recommendations? Preferably similiar to CG / DN.

A console will cost (after a couple years because fuck buying them on release) 500$ and will last you 5+ years.

That's really overpriced. It's much cheaper to do it yourself, and they tend to last longer because you can then afford higher-end components for them.
