So, looking mediocre enough to be the last target, and finish everybody who is fighting-but don't be mediocre enough to not have counters?

Its like real life military, no? Not enough to pose a threat, enough to be a good ally.

See, the issue is my friends and I A) largely know each other's decks, B) know each others playstyle and C) know the game itself well enough that we can work out what's a threat even when someone is playing a new deck. I'm a threat because I build good decks, by and large.

It was fun. A bit irritating in the group games. I was literally a turn away from winning two of them, when one guy's "blaze of glory" last shots fucked me over.

I use Skirk Fire Marshal in my goblin deck and I love to sit there with a Gratuitous Violence out going "It is either I win or we tie, I am not losing." It's even better when I have 2 Gratuitous Violence out.
