I've been in the top maths class in all my years of schooling, and in year 7 I was doing Uni level cryptography and getting it right. I think I would have learnt that formula in one of the several units of probability I've done.

I have gotten a lot of female starters ever since Gen3.

They would probably teach you some basic probability, most of which you could figure out yourself if you think hard enough. But probably not at the same level of actually having it in math class.

I have done 3 units of probably/statistics over the past 2 years, I don't remember it from any of those. Of course, I forgot most of the other years of maths.

I wouldn't call it luck, although there is always that one annoying trainer that has a female pokemon with Attract, so I guess I win on that one usually.

Theoreticly there's a 50% chance for each, every throw might be slightly different, but on the grand scheme of things there's a 50% chance of each landing. Just like you can hit 10 heads in a row but that doesn't mean heads has 100% chance of landing up, it's just an outlier.

The gender is definitely not your characters gender. My Snivy in B/W was female.
