For example if flying was removed in pandaria then the flightpaths would be a goldsink. Removing dual spec will give the players a goldsink if you are required to respec. With dual spec if you are required to respec most of the times you are prepared and have it already as your second spec and just change over. As for the Black Market Auction House it is kinda only a gold sink to hardcore players which is not the majority of the playerbase.
vendor mounts ARE goldsinks. their sole reason of being is to make people waste gold and take that gold from the economy. that's the very definition of a goldsink.

sure, the average joe doesn't buy them because they are too expensive. but the average joe doesn't need a gold sink, because he doesn't have gold overflowing from his pockets.

I am an average joe I can never make more than 30k, EVER. I don't need a gold sink, I need better professions lol
Warlorcs of Draenorc made me quit. You can't have my stuff.

I don't so much want triple spec as I want a third spec that is just automatically turned on when I go to PvP. So that, not only do I not forget to make changes to my PvE specs when I seldom go to PvP, but so that I don't forget to UN-make those changes when I return to PvE. Go to a battleground -> third spec. Go to an arena -> third spec. UI option to not auto switch, and just use the spec you enter with. And also just allow people to just switch off the third spec after they join at their preference.

But that's just what I want personally. And my particular wants in this case aren't really that important, I can acknowledge myself.

However I do know a couple of PvE priest healers who would love a true legitimate third spec. Could even combine what I want with a true third spec. UI option: "Automatically enter PvP areas with 1/2/3 spec enabled". Could even extend that with: Automatically equip gear set [X] on entering PvP areas.

i wouldn't be able to use triple spec....
    first of all: i don't pvp ...
2nd: i love tanking, i like dding but i absolutely loath healing !

my main is a pally ... so i have tank and dd spec ...
my first alt it a priest ^^ so i only need the shadow specc
my second alt is a druid i use exclusively for farming herbs and ore ... so i basically wouldn't even need a single specc ^^

i'm quite happy with the number of simultanious speccs as it is

Ofc I would use it. I don't see the necessity of it but I would use it anyway: enha PvE primary, enha PvE/PvP sec. and possible Ele for thunder f*cking etc.

I use 4-5 in Rift for multiple toons. Its naive to think you wont.

    Yes, my DK for example
    -Love blood to solo stuff
-Like frost PvE, hate it PvP
-Love Unholy PvP, don't like it PvE

Would I use it? Sorta. I'd spec elem (elemental blast) - elem (primal elemental) - resto (which I'd use maybe three times this whole expansion).
Tomes of Clear Mind really do suffice for me, so if tri-spec was more than 100g or so, I'd pass on using it.

Edit: And likewise for my alts.

No, No, and moar No. Most of the posters are thinking of the convenience to them, which very well may be valid. However for the game, it's would be horrendous. The vast majority of the community has issues just playing or even choosing their ONE main spec. When you introduce this type of thing, people will use it. Some good players could benefit, BUT most people will not. Some of the drawbacks have already been noted. I'm not completely against a pvp only talent spec, but a universal 3rd spec is just horrible. And how would something like this become avail... Guild perk tied to some achvs the guild must complete. Would bring some community back together.

Tripple specs would save me some clicking and a visit to a trainer. I use actionbarsaver, which is an addon that allows you to save the layout of your action bars in profiles.
In half a minute I can go from a pve ele with pve enhance off spec to a resto pvp spec and an ele pvp spec. With all bars / macros / addons setup the way I want it.

If anything I'd rather see a class trainer mount/jeeves-ish (like the new reforging mount) tool that allows me to reset my specialisation than tripple specs.

im mainly pve healer, but i do pvp healer and quest in enh or ele, all my 3 spec is geared.. so yes i would use it instead of passing most of my time at my class trainer switching between ele and enh.. xD (i love them both ..)

omg !!! i need that addon, SO MUCH OO ty sir! you just made my day !!!

    No.
Not unless they gave us some way to stop gear from cluttering up bags like being able to collapse a full layout of gear into 1 bag spot.
As is, I never have enough bag space to carry around both my Ele and Enh sets. I can't imagine also having to carry around a Resto set.

@Zenga. Thanks for that post, emailing myself a reminder to get actionbarsaver now.

Definitely. For my shaman, PvE DPS, PvE heal, PvP spec. Every other of my classes would have something similar. Even my pures. My lock would have PvE Aff, PvE Destro or Demo, PvP spec
    RETH

On my Warrior, Monk and Shaman, maybe DK and Rogue, not on my Paladin, Mage, Priest or Hunter. Probably not on my druid or warlock.

It would be very useful - I'm constantly switching between disc and holy for healing on my Priest, but like to quest as shadow, so it would be more conveniant. And I don't see why it would be bad - it seems almost everybody could use it! What's wrong with having the option?

the thing is, i think they are afraid that it trigger the Kids effect ( i caleld that myself lol) say yes on time and people wont stop asking for more, like we got dual spec, now we ask for a third one, and maybe after a 4th one ect, creates a dominos effect, but that only my pov : / i would like to have a 3rd one for sure but i think i understand why they dont wanna : /
and its mostly the only reason why we still have class trainer.. xD they might feel alone

They should just adapt the rift-model. There is relly no logical reason for only having 2 specs atm.
The cost of respeccing isnt a big enough problem to force people to stick with 2 specs only.
Just let people have as many specs as they want as it would only change the game in positive ways.

A 'equipment manager' like interface is more important than being able to switch specs on the fly. When you're switching talents/glyphs you're prone to making mistakes, especially when you're in a time constrained situation (Arena prep, between bosses in a raid, etc).

    yes ^^

need 1 for pve im MT
one for pve dailys fury ^^ no i dont want to do dailys as arms ^^

My 2 cents would be that on certain toons such as my Monk, Paladin or Druid. I would love this, it would stop my Altoholism which has been affecting my guild mates and close friends for years and allow me to play one character that is prepared for all 3 roles at the click of a button.
