Ah, I see. Did he quit posting recently or something?
Probably just "got" the wrong thing.aww
Well, I tried using layers before, but I didn't really get it working :/generally, you put pretty much everything on a separate layer
it really helps keeping conflicts to a minimum and helps if you want to ever revert a change (or try something out) without having to also redo everything you've done after that particular change.
Like, I removed a layer of a certain picture and it still showed it... and... well... I just kinda gave up after that
Maybe D:you'll learn ;]
Oh right, 98px thenthat's one way of doing it, yes (needs to be 98x though, as you need 1px free on both sides).
That sounds pretty nice, a little too tryhard for now thoughthe way i do it: select the outermost pixels (simply "select all", then deselect the inner 98x) and fill it black on a new layer.
usually i then do the same again, just one px further inward, on yet another layer, so that you'd now have a 2px wide border if you have both layers enabled. then turn down opacity of the 2nd layer (to something between 50% and 15%, depending on what fits the brightness and contrast of the picture) to give it a 'soft' and slightly 3dimensional look.

!!!exclamation mark!!11oneone!!11eleven!! I'd link it, but it's very very lewd =3!
True, the second kind is better ofcourse. I guess it would be mostly the first type though.well, there's two kinds of pets/slaves. the first needs to be broken to obey, the second is already obedient and wishes nothing more than to please it's owner/master. the first needs to be taught it's place, the second already knows (and loves!) it. i generally prefer the second kind :]
But I was born without one, so I can't sell it :cmight cost you your soul, though.
*nods* Yep, it's quite strange.the worlds just gone weird, i tell ya. can't be sure of nothing anymore, nowadays.
Obviously!i call that "denial".
