Battleground latency

Now that all the battlegroups are merged into one, does your server's location have any effect on your latency when doing battlegrounds?

Huge issue has popped up... I am not allowed to post links ( being a new to the forums) it is on the "official forum's of Blizzard"... Search Battle Ground Latency

Over 60 pages of complaints... not looking to start a war, just trying to get more exposure to a looming problem that could be coming to your neighborhood soon

Is anyone experiencing this? Seems that Blizzard responds to MMO more than it's own forums, the people are beginning to get torches and pitchforks !
