I would agree that someone making 120k and having a family with 3! children would have health insurance anyway.
However lets not forget that some people make good money specifically because they are consultants, and do not get insurance from work, but have to buy it themselves.
I believe I pay about same as you for family coverage, but I think employer puts up more than than for me (they keep complaining in order to have us aware of their expenses I guess).

I don't think 20k is unbelievable for a family of 5, if you don't have group coverage. It's probably somewhere there - don't forget we get discounts at work because it's a whole group of people.

I have socialist healthcare paid through my income tax; tax that would go down for every dependent.

They certainly never convinced me, until the government decided to step in and twist my arm and force me to do business with them. I'd rather have socialized medicine than what we're getting, making profit of other people's misfortune and misery is disgusting.

    Or...and, follow me here...

A conservative website misleads people about Obamacare, claiming a very tangential interpretation as how the actual thing works.

So, yes, in this case, its kind of lying.

Sounds like another contentious industry currently operating at massive profit levels in the US.

Why do you think Karen Ignani forced Obama to put in the individual mandate in order to ensure universal coverage?

Health insurance only works when healthy people pay into the system and don't use it in order to subsidize the sick.

Let me get this straight, anything with a conservative lean to it is automatically biased and to be deemed not credible?

Care to try an be a little more specific? If you're going to declare an entire article biased, you could at least back up your claim with some evidence.

Most people think health insurance is a basic human right you're born with.

I'm not sure what's dumber, calling a service at someone else's expense a basic human right, or thinking that healthcare is "free".

...where did I claim anything you claim that I claim?

Any lean damages credibility, why do you think it's exclusive to right leaning?

Yeah there is. It should be taken as an actual tax from everyone like intelligent nations do. But no, socialism is evil so we get this bullshit halfway piece of trash

Health insurance is a bullshit middle man, why we can't just have health care provided by our tax dollars is beyond me.

How is it free? That is not possible. In some way you are being taxed and it is being paid for out of said taxes.

Kind of funny, considering that each rich person has their tax increase for every "dependent" they support through the government.

Yeah I really wish we could trade one middle man for another that generates the same inflation and bureaucracy.

Funny thing about health though, you can't guarantee yourself being healthy. You're always in the market, from inception to death.
I haven't been to the doctor in almost 8 years, at $200 a month that's almost $20k. I'm sure the insurance industry would have loved to have gotten a piece of that.

Plenty of other countries make it work, we could too.
