just be warned that while people might not make jokes about your race, blizzard will.
remember johnny (jenny) awesome. remember the blood elf "damsel in distress" in un'goro. remember the blood elf guy who wanted to be martek's girlfriend.
Warlorcs of Draenorc made me quit. You can't have my stuff.
Nope, I think they're just normal looking. You don't have to be a dog ugly orc bursting with muscles to be manly. Their voice is kinda annoying though. (I don't have any Blood Elf characters)
Better question: Are they more feminine than female dwarfs?
More important question, what's wrong with being feminine? Even more important question...Why are certain traits pinned to one gender or the other?
Culture is dumb.
Twas brillig
All of my characters are blood elves. I find them the closest to humans in real life, as the "humans" in wow are basically furless gorillas. Blood elves actually have correct proportions.

Male dwarves are more feminine than female dwarves.
I can't take any male blood elf player seriously.
Especially if they're a plate class. That stance just looks so... silly :l
Very interesting. Here's the Wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contrapposto
Indeed you can see both male and female sculptures from Greece and Roman times do this.
Which is why I find it very interesting given its a fantasy game (traditionally have medieval/historical ties). Not only interesting, appropriate just like the venetian masks for the priest T13 sets.
Something else. Why are we relating the behavior of a different race to our human ones which is a race by itself in the fantasy game?

Blood elf males aren't effeminate. Some people think hygiene and grooming are signs of weakness, contrary to the realities of the natural world
There are some npcs that are sissies. But then there are humans, orcs, even ogres that are made like this; it speaks to the individual and not the race at large.
Their stance is questionable, but besides that I don't think so. I wouldn't let that stop me. But, I'd pick a class that doesn't wear robes.
We don't need arrogant, decadent wankers representing the Elven race and further ruining it with more stereotypes. We have fury of magic and steel with the Blood Elves and nature's wrath and perfect warriors with Night Elves. Blizz can focus on bringing the aspect of those two races out and bury the stereotypical fantasy elf for good in the wow universe.
I wouldn't necessarily say blood elf males are feminine simply because they are not as overly muscular as other male variations of the playable races. I've been playing a blood elf since the Burning Crusade Launch and always imagined while they might lack a more physically intimidating figure I think they make up for it in some way. Either through their sophistication, the subtle glow of demonic magic in their eyes or shear class.
No, not really. A sack and chesthair don't always tell people that the wearer is male, but in this case I'm fairly certain.
Of course they are feminine, why wouldn't an all female race be feminine?
(ps. I do hope when they get there new model they make them look more male. AND with the green magic tattoos that most blood elves are meant to have)
Even Hellscream said there fighting style looked like dancing in battle. (not in a bad way those blood elves were fucking up some theramore soilders ) So that would be how they make up for not having muscle.
