So the 70-294 exam yesterday...I was doing fine and then the test crashed halfway through. So I talk to the proctor who can't get it to relaunch and she moves me to another computer. I am greeted with the question I left off on, so I figure it's not a big deal.
Until I get my exam score.
I score 490 when the passing score was 700. Now I KNOW I know my shit better than that, so either the half prior to the crash was lost/corrupted/reset the answers, or the half after the test, but I don't believe I legitimately failed that hard. 490 is an "are you even trying?" kind of score. So, I called Prometric to bitch about it, because that's some bullshit. Fortunately, they confirmed that my computer did indeed crash (but they did not verify whether or not my answers were lost, just that a crash occurred), and they rescheduled my exam next week for free.
HOWEVER, I got an email this morning from Microsoft telling me about my new MCP ID.
....
So I had to go yell at Microsoft being all like "hey I'm the same person as before and you'd better fix this before my exam because screw not getting credit for these". If I just didn't pay attention and kept testing, I would never get my MCSE because the new ID doesn't have that I passed those other exams, making my entire "get your MCSE before the exams retire" mission pointless.
And then I was really sick this morning, and then my computer lagged to hell and made me get a RONA (which is bad), and then the fire alarm went off at home as my computer was crashing, but then I recovered it and also I spilled all my coffee this morning.
It's not been a very pleasant few days.
