Hey guys, probably sick of this question but how is the game now in terms of being able to get on and play?

I was ready to buy it on release but I saw the s*** storm and thought it was best to wait, so hard to resist temptation of buying it though.

I bought and installed itthis afternoon, EU, and its been working fine for me. seems everythings cleared up now.

It's hard to make money in the game, without going all industrial, screwing the enviroment and going all export on them (I call that a realistic simulation right there!)

thats not my plan at the moment, im just giving it a quick go solo so i can actually see whats going on and get a bit more familiar with it.... started my own small region on EU west or east 3 cant remember, but its open so i could be joined by others.

Once i get the hang of it better, then i plan on joining one of the MMO regions if there is any room left.

How do I get more of my sims to go to my school? I want to build an high school but for that I'd need sims to go to my normal school daily, but none of them are actually going there.. at all.

I cannot break the 230,000 population mark! ARGGHHHHHHHH!

Damn those ruddy hospitals. One spree of illnesses chucked me back nearly 60k population and total expenditure of about 460,500 which I'm trying to recover in taxes but it de-stabilizes my population levels!

Residential cities are SO irritating! At least with my power cell cities I just sit back and let the cash roll in for nothing!

Okay so, i think ive got the basics under control, gonna try join a regional. looked in the other thread, seems most are full, which kinda sucks lol

Also, do you NEED to do the tutorial every time you change server? like for eg. i changed from europe server to antartica server and its asking me to do the tutorial again

How to increase amounts of sold crude oil? My trade depots are full of it. I can't build trade port because, i can't build Trade HQ or Commerce division, nor i can build Refining Division, all that BECAUSE i'm not selling enough oil. How to break this vicious circle?

Your trucks are probably stuck in traffic. First make sure you have as many as possible, and of course that you have it set to export your oil. I hate trying to figure out the traffic. You have to figure out whether your city is full of your own sims, in which case a some streetcars and maybe a few buses should solve the problem. If it's full of sims from other cities, a ferry and a train station will help, as will busses. However, you probably need to make sure your neighbors have the big bus terminal, and you should probably have that one too, not just the depot.

If you escape out of a tutorial, and go back to main screen, you should be able to jump directly into building. At least that worked for me a few times.

Like the previous poster said, re-work your traffic network. Trucks to pick up resources from your depots come from out of the city, so make sure there is a clear path for them to get to your depots (preferably they're all in the same space).

Is it just happening for me, or do you need to be on the same region to add people as a friend? i tried adding a few people from here to jjoin servers or play with, and i could only find those on Antartica.
