Listen, none of us in the west are dealing with the problems related to overpopulation, if anything, the complete opposite.
The problems we have are mainly related to a faulty economy, an extreme waste of resources, and general whining.

Keep closing your eyes there is enough resources, and that destroying oceans and forests isn't overpopulation problem. If there wouldn't be so much people shitting on this planet, then we wouldn't need so much wood, food, plastics and other stuff. We wouldn't pollute so much as we wouldn't need to produce so much of everything.

Interesting question. I don't think there should be limits but I do think people should be smart enough to know how many children they can afford and handle. Sadly, people are not smart and have children they can in no way afford. Some people can have lots of children and raise them to be productive members of society, while others cannot handle having 1 child.

I hate to bring a Channel 4 documentary into this, but here in the UK, Channel 4 aired a programme about two families.

One family had 16 children.
Another family had 11.

I once saw a special on the Duggars who have 19 kids. It seems like many people hate them but from the special I saw and the reading I did after on them, they are on no government support, built their own house from the ground up and the parents take care of their children. All the children seemed happy, healthy, educated and very normal. I believe their older children now have paying jobs and one or two are married with children of their own. The mother Michelle also seemed very frugal by buying things second hand and reusing things with possible. They also made a budget and stuck to it.

Please come to my country and try to get a job. Even if you get a job, you won't get paid or you will get paid under minimum wage which is actually same as welfare. So what is better than for people? Work 8 hours per day and get underpaid or not paid at all, or sit at home and get safely welfare because government is 100% giving it ?

I hate those rich smarty pants as you as you think you know everything and you know situations around the world. It's fucking financial crisis here and unemployment rate is 15% and rising 1% every month. Unemployment rate of people under 30 years is almost 40% already. When you search for job they ask you if you have a graduate degree for cleaning toilets!!! Average wage here is like 600-800€ with which you can only sweep your bottom. (minimum wage by law is 738€) This in barely enough to buy food and roof over your head. Efficient tax here is over 70%. Yes you read it right, over 70% of money you make in company, government takes away. First you need to pay around 400€ for health and pension insurance, after that 16-45% tax, depending how much you earn. After that you pay yearly income tax that takes another 10-25% and then you have VAT tax of 8% for food and 20% for everything else.
People have other needs as well, not only to be fed. In some of EU countries is even worse.
Spain: almost 25% unemployment rate and more than 50% under 30 years old.
Greece: over 25% unemployment rate and around 45% under 30 years old.
Cyprus: no money in banks, only cash transactions, you can only get 100€ per day from cash machine. They have no oil, medicine and food supply anymore, as they can't pay it unless they have cash on hand. Their country in on edge of collapse and civil war.
It isn't everything and everywhere so shiny as in america where it seems people bath in money...

God wish i was rich... i work 12 hrs a day labour im just not a lazy ass like most people on welfare, yes i do get payed good money for it, but because i didnt spand half my life on stupid shit.

I value space and open nature unspoiled by humans. The more people there are the fewer of these places will remain. I suppose for people who like to live in hive-like cities where you can't go 20 feet without running into another person, overpopulation is a "myth", but when I have to travel 100 miles to get away from the urban sprawl, and that distance keeps increasing each year, to ME there sure as hell is a population problem.

The U.S. is a little higher than most industrialised nations largely due to immigration from Latin America. But Hispanic women's fertility has been dropping as well lately.

Well it depends on where you live, but chances are there is an isolated spot right next to you. Unfortunately man, most of those condo buildings are only there as a speculation, not because you NEED apartments. Again, it comes down to mismanaging resources.

This is more true than people realise. Housing affordability is by far the strongest predictor of fertility rates there is.
