diseases reseting on hc durumu

So i played festerblight in recent hc durumu kill but i couldn't help but notice how my awesome diseases kept resetting after every ice wall.
Is this working as intented because i have read durumu is one of the best bosses to play festerblight on?
And if it's working as intented, should i reverse to traditonal unholy whenever this happens?

there's actually a bug on durumu where the diseases will bunch back on to durumu if you pestilence on that fight.
does not happen that often though.
