New Champion: Lucian the Gun Templar

Nothing is of course confirmed yet, but this seems to be floating around. Personally I think he looks awesome and assume that he is going to be a ranged AD since he has guns, which makes me quite happy.

So what are your thoughts on the potential new champ?

Lightslinger (Passive): After using one of his abilities, Lucian's next auto attack shoots twice. The second shot deals reduced damage.


Piercing Light (Q): Shoots a bolt of light through a target, damaging enemies in a line.


Ardent Blaze (W): Fires a shot that explodes in a star pattern and marks targets. Shooting marked targets grants Lucian a short burst of speed.


Relentless Pursuit (E): Lucian dashes a short distance and removes all slowing effects. Relentless Pursuit's cooldown resets if The Culling kills an enemy champion.


The Culling (R): Lucian moves freely while firing rapidly in a single direction, dealing damage to the first enemy hit. Lucian can cast Relentless Pursuit while shooting.


No numbers are available as of now. Will update the post when they are released.

Reminds me of Irvine from Final Fantasy 8 somehow.
Always liked the idea of dual wielding pistols, gonna be awesome.

if it's real I'm REAL happy, but something about the design makes me think it's not.

I'm guessing if he IS real he'll be a AD carry, agreed on ranged as well.

or hopefully a ranged bruiser, could be fun

I agree that something about the design makes me think that he might not be real. He doesn't quite have that riot feel, but this is just concept art and not a splash art or model.

True true... I dont know why, but I kinda get more of a "I'm a lol fan and made this because I like 3d modelling" vibe from it, not the more serious "This is our new champion" feel.

I don't think Surrender@20 would post it that quickly if it was that unlikely to be the new champion though.

according to the s@20 post, the artist that is signed on that picture is someone who was done work for Riot before. So we can be hopeful right?

I agree that the design looks great, but the presentation also looks kind of weird/not real. Reminds me of that final boss guy from KH2 but with guns. That's not a bad thing! Please be real, we are due for another *traditional* AD carry (I <3 Quinn but find her better in other lanes).

Looks like we have a little more confirmation, since Riot hires pro players to test champions before they're out on the pbe.
