Blizz re-revamps Old World questlines. What would you want done?

So I had the idea while posting in the Orgrimmar thread. Sure, this will never happen after the flop that was Cata, but what if Blizz decided in 6.0 to revamp the Old World questlines again to reflect the death of Garrosh and the shift in power after SoO.

What would you want changed with the questlines? More focus on a race, less on another? Give a faction the ability to quest in a zone? Change the outcome of a zone's events?


One big thing I'd want is for Gilneas to become the un-instanced starting area for Worgen, and after Gilneas they can level through Silverpine, Hillsbrad, Arathi, Hinterlands, WPL, and EPL alongside the Forsaken.

I do think they need to change Stonetalon mountains, even though this quest zone is the BEST questzone ever in WoW, i never felt so much fun and enjoy in this zone, it doesn't make any sense at all if Garrosh is dead.
Or they replaced Garrosh with the next Warchief, but that would still look weird.

Actually, given how Stonetalon was out of character for Garrosh the Jerk, it would make sense to just replace Garrosh with the next Warchief.

Maybe they wanted thrall back after Cata so they had to do something to get Garrosh out of the picture x)

I feel like most of the zones are fine. I wouldn't want them to go back after every expansion and change things. The story already doesn't make sense anyway when leveling between old world, outland, northrend, and then cata zones. Too many old stories are still there as it is. I'd rather look to the future and have better zones for high levels. (this is, of course, being viewed with what happened to Cata's high level zones).

That said, if Blizz could multi-task better and actually have the people and resources to remake some old zones, I'd like to see Azuremyst and Silvermoon updated. The way those places are described in short stories and books is so much cooler than in-game. Especially the way the Exodar is pictured in Velen's short story, where it's actually flying again.

Ya, I'd really just like to see Quel'thalas fixed, rebuilt, updated, etc. And the Draenei zones too, but I really want Quel'thalas first.

I would like to see quests split in 2: storyline quests, and optional quests. Class and/or race quests would be awesome as well. And a new char would be able to level up just from the said storyline quests and not bother bringing teeth and capping boars here and there...

I'd like to see Hillsbrad/Alterac playable for Alliance again. Outside of the Plaguelands virtually that entire half of the continent is Horde-only. I loved questing though Hillsbrad and Alterac as Alliance, but now Alliance players barely have any reason to even explore that half of the continent.

Forget rerevamping old world. Make it so we don't go through expansion time warps. Plague lands quest lines are all blarrrrrrgh arthas is dead blehhhhh then you get to northrend and akamagosh its the lich king. Also lol outland where none of the quests make sense anymore

I'd rather they not do something like that again, but if I had a choice, I think Silithus and Arathi need updating.

Maybe land dala in the theramore crater and throw the horde out of there.


For horde showing the bloodelfs coming out of their corner to built a front against the alliance somewhere would be nice. They are pretty isolated right now. And you could update the barrens/durotar quests showing the destruction of the raid and maybe make you fight kokron rebels who survived

Start zone revamps for sure. I only roll belfs (well now panda's also, but for original races I go belf), I love the start zone but I wouldn't mind if Blizz refreshed it a bit.

Also class quests would be amazing, bring those back. Or add epic race specific quest lines. The leveling experience is so impersonal now. It is just a race to get to 90. Even if you do take your time it is just the same content you have done countless times before. I would love to have epic class quests and or race quests. Something unique for your specific character to enjoy.

Arathi Highlands, it's still (almost) the same storyline as it was in Vanilla.

And maybe update the Draenei and Blood Elf zones to be in the main continent instance rather than Outland.

Any thoughts on how to revamp the process of questing? A lot of people toss dynamic events in place of questing, but to me that seems too RNG-reliant.

EPL and WPL could use the flora/fauna freshened up a bit and the tree's to look less like paper cut outs and more like actual dead trees. Oh and update those weird ass mushrooms outside Stratholme.
