So which cooler do I go with?
And you said there could be a problem with the RAM and the cooler? I guess the RAM is a factor here too then.
That's the last thing I need to decide on

3:02 AM at the moment going to bed, I'll check back tomorrow

That was before I changed the RAM to something low-profile (i.e. doesn't have tall heatsinks), it means it can fit under the cooler if need be.

Chazus's latest build is just fine, it has low profile RAM and the Hyper212 EVO should be enough for you to achieve a moderate overclock down the road. Very good cooler for the price.

Actually decided to stay up in case one of you posted. So I got rid of the optical drive because I'm going to use my own - but I forgot about the wireless networking adapter. I have a Qualcomm Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n Dualband Wireless Network Module at the moment, and I should only need a wireless internet connection for another month, then I'll be using an ethernet connection. Is it worth it to buy another one, or am I fine to reuse the one I have now?

EDIT 3:32 AM -- Since I have until the 15th to order, based on the PSU sale, I think it's best if I go to bed now :P
Not like I was going to order all of this tonight!
I'll be back on tomorrow to check for updates, but thank you guys so much for all the help!

If the Qualcomm adapter is serving you fine then what's the need to buy a new one? It just plugs into a PCI slot right? The motherboard's got plenty of those...

So I was just checking again on PCpartpicker, and if I get the MSI Z77A-G45 from Newegg instead I can get Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Profile Desktop Memory Model BLS8G3D1609ES2LX0 for free (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/crucial...8g3d1609es2lx0). Would this RAM be better than the Crucial
    BLS2KIT4G3D1609DS1S00 (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/crucial...4g3d1609ds1s00)?

It's 1x8GB instead of 2x4GB and the voltage is 1.35V instead of 1.5V on the 2x4

Do it. While there is a -marginal- performance benefit to two sticks... Saving $60 in my opinion far outweighs it.

The reason it was asked about Microcenter is because you get $40 off with a MB/CPU Combo, and if I am not mistaken, it is only for the new chips (4670k/Z87)

There is also a deal where you get $20 off the SSD price when you buy the above combo at the same time.

Mind you, there will still be tax on the items.

Okay, if the offer still stands on monday (when I can order the parts), I'll do it. Thanks for the quick reply

Hey would it be worth it to get a i5-4670k over the i5-3570k? With current sales there's only a 10 dollar price difference.

If you look at chazus's build for me, would the cooler still fit the new processor? I was looking into it and it's socket 1155 in the 3570k and socket 1150 in the 4670k, are those compatible?

The cooler was going to be the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO with the 3570k.

EDIT: I already bought most of the parts, the motherboard(Z77) among other things came today, still waiting to buy the gpu and cpu+cooler,so would that matter?

If you already have the Z77, the 3570K is you're only option. The performance difference between the 3570K and 4670K is very small, if you get the 3570K up to 4.6ghz, which usually isn't hard. My 3570K is at 4.5ghz with the same EVO cooler, and you have a nicer board, so 4.6-4.7 shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the quick reply chazus, I was about to order the ssd, cpu+cooler, and gpu today and then saw this sale at microcenter for the 4670k. So I would need a Z87 to get a Haswell cpu?
