Darkmoon Faire tickets to justice

If you were to buy a piece of BoA heirloom gear from the DMF and then return it at the regular Justice heirloom vendor would you get refunded the justice cost of the gear or would you get the DFM tickets back? They don't have the BoA shields at the DMF but I have a shit ton of tickets but not enough justice to buy it and was wondering if I bought another piece for tickets and then returned it for justice I could have enough to buy the shield. Could also possibly be considered cheating so I'm hesitant to even try it so I figured I'd ask you all here first.

If you are able to refund it then it's always the item you bought it with.
As example, if you buy Honor BoA Heirloom gear, then you won't get justice points when you sell it.
The currency will remain the tickets on the darkmoon faire tickets.
