This is what happened.

Neil Wilson is 41 years old. He took a 13-year-old girl home, allowed her to strip and then engaged in what we must euphemistically refer to as a “sex act” with her. For this and other offences including the possession of eight images of child sexual abuse and eleven sexual images involving horses and dogs, he received an eight-month suspended sentence. But it’s not the lenience of the punishment that has pushed the case into the headlines. It's the comments of the prosecutor and judge.

It's said that the girl wanted to have sex. Which honestly doesn't matter, he's a 41 year old adult who can use adult reasoning.

Neil Wilson, 41, faces having his eight-month suspended jail sentence reviewed after the Attorney General Dominic Grieve agreed to look into the case yesterday. And the Crown Prosecution Service was forced to admit that its own prosecutor acted “inappropriately” when he placed a portion of the responsibility upon the victim in court.

Speaking today, she said: “This latest incident is the very front line of the sexism that still pervades UK society. “Now we have seen where this kind of attitude ends up: with what looks like a judge calling a 13-year-old girl a ‘sexual predator’ and letting her abuser off with a suspended sentence.”

I do actually know of girls that young that are indeed "sexual predators", teenage pregnancies are at an all time high.

The implication that because she was young she could not act in a predatory manner is a wierd one.

For example a 13 year old can predate on a 20 year old with learning difficulties with ease, its not totally impossible that it is the case, there are some incredibly mature young women, and incredibly naive/horny/easily mislead older men.

Age is not blanketly indicitive of one's ability to commit crimes. What happened in this particular case? I don't know. Just that a 13 year old predator is not out of the realm of possibility.

I won't comment on this specific case, but anyone who denies or doubts that young women are doing this are ignorant fools. Girls are learning (and, indeed, being taught) at younger and younger ages just how valuable their sexuality is. These girls are growing up knowing that all they have to do is threaten to accuse someone of rape and they can have practically anything they want. Furthermore, girls are reaching physical maturity at younger and younger ages, so a girl who honestly looks like she is 18+ could easily be 13-15 and the only way a potential partner could know is by checking their government issued ID.

All this is true and no one can come up with any meaningful arguments against it. To do so is, again, ignorant. So, the only thing left to point out is that, in a situation like this, there will be, inevitably, young sexual predators.

It is completely possible for someone of her age to be a sexual predator. I'm not saying in this case she is, but I don't see why so many people are shocked.

There were at least a handful of girls in my high school who lied about being on the pill to a few guys, just to get pregnant ... It does happen.

I sort of agree with some of these people. The missing point is that anyone who even wants to pretend to be a responsible adult needs to tell these girls exactly that. Not take advantage of their teenage hormones.

I had a young girl of early teenage years jump on the back of my bike when I was at a stoplight. I asked her if she was fucking crazy, and how she planned on getting away if I drove off with her. What she would do if I was a murderer.

he's 41. im 37, a few years younger, and i cant think of a single circumstance where i would fuck a 13 year old, regardless of how predatory she is. im shocked at the number of people that will accept this excuse. a 13 year old boy could use that excuse, and maybe up a few years. but a 41 year old man?!? seriously?!?
