It doesn't fit well in the WoW theme really, as far as titles go. It seems... too bland. Imo anyway.

Cataclysm stood out as well.

See I don't think Azshara is tied to the legion anymore. I think shes got the hots for some tentacles.

The DEEP DARK place, probably has some ties to the emerald dream corruption, with Cthul..Shub. err tentacles thing is corrupting it.

Since Illidan fused himself with the demonic powers he was no longer night elf. High demonic beings don't die as other beings do, when they are slain they are banished to the Twisting Nether instead. Their mortal being ceases to exist, yes. So if we go there we might find him with a golden halo on his head. Think Dragon Ball, when Goku was on the underworld tournament.

There's a few options here. I don't think it would be the next WoW expansion considering this expansion hasn't even been out for a year yet. Project Titan is also probably not an option since they put it on massive hold again. The Dark Below to me seems like it would be D3 related. Since a few of the developers from project Titan went back to work on D3 again, it seems to me that this would be the most likely option. It may have been Jay Wilson's (he's back with the team) answer to lift the current monotony of D3 considering there's nothing to do and you can buy a stacked gear set for a dollar. However, a WoW expansion isn't completely out of the question, it's just less likely. However if Blizzard decides to pull another Cataclysm, then the Siege of Orgrimmar raid would be the last raid for this expansion (hopefully not), and then maybe it would be the next WoW expansion. *shrug*

Of course it could be something completely new and different, like a phone app game or an online board game or something stupid like that. Who knows.

And Blizzard launch tier are based on my military unit (swiss army). Every single time we have our yearly one-month exercise, new tier drop... At least this time I'm no more in a raiding guild (and LFR will launch after )

I really hope there is a zone or instance where it's really DARK and you can barely see anything until you have to satisfy certain objectives... if there is such a thing, I hope it scares the crap out of me, I love when games do that. :-D

We always have this. An expansion is released then the next year the next expansions gets trademarked/revealed. It's nothing new. Also, Ozumat (the octopus beast in Vash'jir) has a title "Fiend of the Dark Below". Coincidence? I think not.

I don't think it will be a Diablo 3 expansion, they won't even mess with it until it hits consoles. I think it's the new WoW expansion, which lines up perfectly on the time line, and it's deep sea expansion fighting Azshara.

Every two years Blizzard trademarks the next WoW expansion around this time. This same thing happened with Cata and MoP. Lots of people tried to make arguments that they weren't the next expac but they were. If you think it's not, well a lot of us will be yelling "I told you so!" when they announce it, most likely at Blizzcon.

As for the content. I think most of you are grasping too much to bring in the Burning Legion. If you followed the Wrathion storyline well, it's strongly implied there's still a fair amount of time before the Legion arrives and Wrathion intends to use that time to try to prepare Azeroth.

The title suggests Old Gods and Abyssal Maw. All the Old Gods were buried and "darkness" beneath the land has been referenced many times when talking about the Old Gods. Considering Ozumat's name, the expansion probably revolves more specifically around N'Zoth. We'll see if more Old Gods appear but I believe the main villainous characters will be Azshara, Neptulon, and N'Zoth. I can see Azshara being the last boss in the patch before the final raid or being the second to last boss of the final raid, most likely ending with N'Zoth.

Something that happens with Azshara and/or N'Zoth will probably alert the Legion to our location, triggering the following expansion.
