#2 behind DK in my opinion until 5.4 when Soul Leech gets nerfed to death.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. You're right, typically the hunter is well equipped gear wise. And sure.

That's a video of me tanking Heroic Morchok for my guild when it was still technically current content. I'll admit that we out geared it as we had already beaten heroic deathwing at the time and there was the 30% buff.

That's a video of me soloing Festergut at level 85. From what I know/knew, there were only two other known people to do so before me (A DK who's name slips me, and I believe the other was Caribald).

(part 1 because I was DPSing really slow during the video)

    (part 2)

That's my solo on Heroic Wise Mari at level 90. I apologize as I do not remember the name of the dungeon.

That's a video of Mionelol soloing Atramedes at level 85 (I believe he did so just one tier after Atramedes was current content).

I made a guide on the US WoW forums awhile back to help hunters solo as much as possible which actually received a sticky.
    Amazing...
Thanks for the videos, a lot interesting.
You use often "low threat" shot for avoid aggro?
do you think it is doable, or is there also a lot of skill?

Than this nerf hurts a lot?

I've an alt lock (80~), but... I've excluded for my personal taste (dislike demonic stuff)

ATM the Hunter wins on a Paladin Tank, amazing...
I think the you do a little 'simple, being a ranged however should be very careful as well as the threat to the life of the pet.

    Of course, my pleasure ^_^.

In the videos what you are probably noticing as my "low threat" shot is my constant use of Misdirection to my pet. I have it macro'd so I don't have to worry about targeting it / detargeting the boss and what not. Misdirection transfers your agro to whoever you used misdirection on for a brief time. With the glyph for it, if you use it on your pet Misdirection's CD resets.

The pet also has Growl which works as a taunt to keep agro up as well, so it depends on the fights on what you need and don't need glyph wise.

From what I've seen, most people who understand the basics of how to solo as a hunter can do a lot of the older content with no real issues. As you start pushing towards level 90 heroics/current content, or even 85 content, the challenges become more apparent where good hunters might be able to pull stuff off that others would not.

Really, I recommend whatever fits your play style the best. Hunters have a huge toolkit, which means they can do some crazy things. It also means it can be difficult to master (especially since the "rotation" for soloing is vastly different than regular PVE such as raiding). The main things to watch for are proper CD usage for your pet, watching mend pet heal timer on the pet, and maintaining proper damage and such. Won't really go into all of it here, but I'll link my guide in case you want to know more (or if I've missed anything posting in this thread).

The guide should still mostly be accurate, I have not updated it since 5.1 since that was around the time I stopped playing.

    Hope it helps
