Well, people should be excited about it for two reasons:
1. Dedicated audio processors = more FPS.
2. Dedicated audio processors = a way better experience for anyone that invests in any type of sound card / headphone combo.
I guess this is their way to bite back at Nvidia with something exclusive like PhysX. Since this tech is able to be integrated into PS4 and XB1, I'm sure it's going to have widespread use in the PC world as well considering ports. Sure as hell beats the 1 to 2 games per year using PhysX and could actually be useful in a wide range of games.

Has it finished for the day?
I got called into the raid from the substitutes bench 5 minutes before the stream started :/
Oh well, it'll be uploaded to Youtube so I'll watch it then.
Viewers dropping because the people talking were about as boring of presenters as you could ever get.
Also, I personally, found it would be a much smaller waste of my time to just wait for reviews, essentially, and read bullet-points etc.
Frankly, I really am interested in seeing some cold hard numbers, those Firestrike numbers were absolutely absurd.
Mantle is REALLY REALLLLLLY Interesting, That is probably their entrance to Linux/SteamOS.

Ok this is it. Will finally upgrade my 560ti to a new AMD GPU once we get more info on price/performance :P.

I'm very likely right there with you!
Even though I don't have a 4k monitor, the prospect of 512-bit membus and 4GB GDDR5 natively is just TOO GOOD. Just wait for it, 8GB versions get pushed out next. XD
But damn, this is going to be an awesome leap in performance! To imagine my current GPU score of 3365 in Firestrike more than doubling, if not tripling... that is just bloody awesome!
Expecting a $450-500 price tag on the most expensive GPU(Like 680 is the most expensive for Nvidia).

Did this get posted already? Someone screencapped the prices apparently.

The numbers on the right side are supposed to be Firestrike scores btw.
No that is not a joke, it gave me lelabop just for shits n giggles.
If you must insist on using a non-sanctioned sitting apparatus, please consider the tensile strength
of the materials present in the object in question in comparison to your own mass volumetric density.
In other words, stop breaking shit with your fat ass.
You mean... 1.5 years ago?
Welcome to late 2013, please go look up the pricetag on the GTX 780, 690, and GTX TITAN.

Yup, it's all over the internet. Was mentioned during the event too, so it isn't like it is a secret. The secret is the price of the R9-290X... which better be no more than $600.
Probably 599USD - 60USD with the BF4 Pre-Order so probably not bad value .
