Gnome with 4 fingers?

So I was looking at the new Gnome model for WoD, and I noticed they only had 4 fingers? Dafuq..
Just look at all those pictures of the new Gnome models on the front page.

Remember Gnomes evolved from Robots who got the curse of Flesh. Mimiron, and alot of the robots from WOTLK are the origin of the Gnomes. So the 4 fingers can make sense.

Why doesn't it make sense?
Humans and Gnomes aren't related, there's no reason for them to need to have the same number of digits.
It makes exactly as much sense as Troll feet...

Actually, Trolls have 3 toes, 2 at front, 1 smaller-ish one at the back at the soles.

That's fine because gnomes are the children of robots. Originally they weren't born at all, they were built. They don't need to follow any principle of biology.
Also plenty of animals have unequal numbers of digits >_>

I think that you are looking for similarities where there are none to be found. Gnomes != humans and thus can have their own anatomy, maybe their brain is in their chest, maybe they have 4 fingers because they are smaller. The only fact that need matter is that Gnomes have 4 fingers because that's how many their body/brain/dna decided to create.
