I like ghostcrawler. He was good at his job, and he was good at communicating with the community.
cant say really , depends on who's next
most likely a designer he used to work with so no new blood , few changes imo
Pretty neutral on it. I wish him well, but whether things will get better or worse, or the same, relies on how the team handles the game moving forward.

Its not only good, it might "save" WoW. Bring back the original Classic-TBC team instead.
Whats positive on the guy talking to us in his free time leaving?
All this will change is us hearing less about the games from the designer standpoint and more from the cms "bla we here your concerns"
"And all those exclamation marks, you notice? Five?
A sure sign of someone who wears his underpants on his head."
i do not think it necessarily come to a good or bad. Seeing how the transition plays out will determine my opinion.
Sad to see him go tho.

Nobody remembers the forever long outages in TBC and the beginning of WOTLK. Used to nobody raided on Tuesday because the servers were never up.
TBC and Vanilla's success aside, a lot of players also joined to see the end of the Scourge storyline begun in WC3, just as I'm sure part of TBC's success was people wanting to see how the Outland storyline panned out on top of a huge marketing push and positive word-of-mouth spreading like wildfire.

I think the game needs a new lead designer, not because GC sucks, but because he has done the job for so many years now. A new lead designer can take the game into new directions, try more experimental stuff and lead WoW through the next decade (hopefully ).
I just wish he hadn't left so suddenly, but made a smooth transition giving the game and community a chance to adapt. They are already in full development of WoD and he leaves half way to the finish line.
