Balance in WoD that difficult? Dayum!

Oh man, you must be a fun person to hang out with.

I don't think anyone here are fan boys, Greg has been one of the only developers that actually spoke with his community so some people are going to miss the guy. He was a integral part of WoW's design in some areas, so its kinda like losing a piece in the puzzle.
He will be missed by many. Im sure they can find someone to do the job, but what i will miss is the community interaction.
The funniest part is, none of the assholes in this thread celebrating his departure have - I guarantee it - contributed anything to the gaming world on par with what Greg has in his six years at Blizzard. People love to criticize from their swivel chairs, but I'd like to see any of the haters do a better job.
He was a genuinely cool guy and the game was better for him. He will be missed.
Your opinion was more focused on the people who were sad he was leaving NOT on the developer, which you falsely state. People are entitled to their opinion and can think what they want.
Lets say you are moving and you have a kid, he comes crying to you that he will be leaving all of his friends behind.
Your response : "Deal with it." Pfft..

GC was good to the game
He played holy priest? Wonder what his name is and what other chars he had.
But maybe it's better if it stays a mystery
Damn, I was sure he was a Warlock.
This is terrible news, even though I didn't always agree with the changes he made I still thought he did his job really well. Farewell GC, it's going to be wierd not having you around WoW anymore.
Holy cow, this was out of the blue! Man, the game is definitely going to change with GC no longer at the reins. For better or for worse, that is up to each individual player. I won't speculate or battle people over their opinions on this.
For whatever happens, we - as a community - should not and hopefully will not forget what he's done for the game and the effort & passion he's put into it. Azeroth will not be the same for him.
Though, truth be told: I wonder what the buzz is in Blizzard HQ about it all. I hope this went over well there and with the people in the know.
Good luck Greg! Hope your next job is less stressful :-)
He's off to work on the "WoW killer" i bet sucks cause i bet he could pull it off.
Very unfortunate. The game has made a lot of strides forward with him at the helm.
good to know he plays a priest .. time to camp every single one i find
