Have you ever seen the same movie multiple times in theaters?

Just curious if anyone else is as silly as me and has pulled this off in the past. I've seen Frozen 4 times in the last week and i loved it each time. 1st time my sister and I had some freebie tickets at our theater and we decided to check it out and both loved it, though it took me a while to convince her the reviews were positive. 2nd time a friend had no one to see it with and offered to buy me a ticket so I figured with i liked it alot. 3rd time I was hanging out with 2 friends that are a couple and one of them works at a theater so he asked if id be willing to see it again for free since the two were interested. And finally the other night with my whole family back in town they heard it was good (probably from me) and wanted to see it in 3d so I decided to tag along cause I really enjoyed it and I just crack up every time because I've got the heart of a child.

4 times is my record though I did see Wreck it Ralph twice cause i liked it and decided to kill some time about a month later, and the final Harry Potter I saw the next day with my little sister after seeing it with a group of friends the night before cause we all chilled in line and had been drinking for several hours as well as in the theater that lead me to fall asleep halfway through haha.

Curious if anyone else is as silly/awesome as me?


TL;DR Original question, have you ever seen the same movie multiple times in a theater? And why if not just cause you loved the movie?

I saw Avatar 5 times in the cinema, 4 times 3D and one time normal.

I do not like to go to theaters to watch movies, but I have seen both Wreck it Ralph and The Hobbit (the one that came out last year) twice apiece, because of holidays and separate groups of people wanting to take us out on separate occasions to go to the same movie.

I saw the first pirates of the Caribbean…5 times? I know I saw that a lot, it was in the cheap places where I lived up to the day it as released on DVD lol.

also the dark knight and transformers, both on Imax and regular a couple times.

Almost never. I think once I had two different groups of friends drag me to the same movie in theatres (I think it was Titanic? That's what I get for having female friends), but not deliberately no.

Watched it 5 times to see what the hype was didn't you? DIDN'T YOU.... gotta say much respect to watch that movie 5 times especially if you liked it. I hate it couldn't ever finish one sit through. Took me a month to watch it all once I just find it so damn boring. Guy falls in love with Alien and kills a bunch of his own species so he can Tail bang her some more.

I loved the visuals so much , the 3D really enhanced it. Knowing that i would never see it on the big screen, i had to watch it that many times.

I watched Arachnophobia three times the summer it came out, separate outings with friends and family. That's the only time, ever.

i went to the yugioh movie two times for the two special cards they gave out, the sorcerer of dark magic and the blue-eyes shining dragon. one of the workers gave me a second blue-eyes that she found on the floor while sweeping :3

As a kid, saw The Grinch remake with my family and then a friend invited me to a birthday party which was to see The Grinch in the movies. I think there was another, but fuck I forget.

Jurassic park: boys were crazy about watching it for their birthday back then (maybe 6 or 7 times)

The man in the iron mask : girls were crazy about watching leonardo for their birthday (at least 4 times)

I've seen dozens of movies multiple times in theaters. Maybe hundreds.

Back when my mom still lived in town, I'd end up seeing some of the big tentpole movies a couple of times. I usually prefer going to movies alone, but if she'd call me up and want to go see one, there's no reason to say no.

But I don't think I've ever gone to the same movie more than twice. Though thinking about it now, I may have seen the first Transformers movie three times...I don't remember.

Only two movies come to mind, and in both cases it was because I saw it once with the family, and once with friends. Star Wars Episode 1 and The Incredibles. Nowadays I rarely see a movie in the theaters once, even if it's something I'm interested in seeing.

Not often but I have, I went to the hobbit 5 times when it came out. Not really on purpose either. I saw it on the midnight showing, then my dad made me see it with him, then a few times I had some friends want to watch movies and they had seen everything but the hobbit.
