    Why is noone talking about...

Quested Epics! Seriously, this is a neat new feature, announced at blizzcon, which I've seen completely glossed over by the community. The idea is, if you do a quest well enough(meet some requirements, go above and beyond, beat a timer, i dunno.) you'll recieve rare or even epic loot as a result. Epics aren't epic, that's kind of beside the point, but epics via leveling for questing are abolutely a new thing!

Because I don't remember hearing about it. Sounds like something that could make questing more interesting to me

I've been glossing over it just because we don't know the full details of the new and improved questing system yet.

From what I heard at Blizzcon it has nothing to do with "how" you do the quest. Just random chance when you turn it in to get green/blue/epic version of the quest reward.

Probably the same reason everyone forgot about the 440 epics from the rare spawns in the Wilds in MoP. Heroic dungeon gear is better than them, they're only really good for leveling, and disenchanting.

Also (esp for the MMO-C crowd) the first toon they levelled was probably in the first week of the expac and the rares were probably harder to find (maybe found 4 or 5 when I levelled on the first day) also the pandaria rare epics weren't SO much better than DS gear; and when you level your alts; you've already got structure for helping them out at 90 so yeah the epics are kinda irrelevant.

However if they did introduce a system whereby the speed, efficiency (not taking damage; not letting your escort take dmg) or other factors relevant to the quest changing the rewards from a green item to maybe a blue item or even some charms would be an awesome change in my opinion.

Not necessarily. 97 epics could maybe save you from needing to find a blue in the slot to begin with

That's actually not true, epics have a bigger stat budget than lower quality items of the same level.

That hasn't kept anyone from speculating everything else this xpac.

Yeah I remember mention of a luck aspect too.

Most importantly, I'm hoping these items have unique models, or at least are part of some misc set separate from questing greens/blues.

I'd be happy if they have unique models, not just recolours of greens. Would make the ending of certain questlines feel better.

Afaik it's just random, not linked to anything. As for why noone is talking about it, it's exactly why not many are talking about garrisons, or why noone is talking about the Adventure Guide. There isn't much to talk about or not enough info about them.

I don't remember hearing anything about it. I do think I heard something about getting epics from Garrison quests tho.

They said that quests are going to be more flavorful now at Blizzcon. Basically, you sometimes may be awarded a Rare or even an Epic.

    I'm excited for it.

It's sad to see the community be filled with so much negativity they can't even look at something in a positive light anymore.

    Oh well.

Sounds cool, adds a bit more flavour to questing.

Don't think this is true anymore.

Pretty sure this isn't the case anymore. The color just tells you what you'll get when you DE the item.

Remember the low level epics dropped by rares in Jade Forest and Krasarang wilds? Those were soooo useful at 90......

They'll NEVER make actual good epics that are both RNG and only 1 shot at them.
