    Well the Star Wars media gives Jango that credit. Degree of power, especially in relation to other characters, is pretty vague/murky in Star Wars. However, if a character did something- well, they sorta did it.

    So like Windu and Kenobi, for example, are shown many times to be incredibly powerful Jedi. One could say accurately, supernaturally so compared to most non-force users. If Jango survives a fight with opponents of that caliber he already is one the most exceptional individuals in the galaxy of Star Wars.

    That is just the way Star Wars is written. Like that is what happened- Jango killed a lot of badass people, a really badass Jedi took him out with ease.

    That always bugged me, Jango was Mandalore and he didn't wear Mandalorian Iron.

    Yeah, but then you'd effectively remove all non-force classes from the game, and you get to feel like superman all the time. Basically: If it doesn't feel like you're fighting something powerful, then you might as well not fight it, right?
    Well; making force-users superduperpowerful would take away the danger from ANYTHING but force-users, and you have to be at least on par with the force users, which effectively makes you run into the same issue you are now, only you'll ONLY be beating force users in spades. It just makes for a very boring game.

    I'm not as convinced as you are. Do you have any example of a game where they have not compromised the story/lore?
    Any forum-based RPG where everyone is a fucking god, because everyone is power-tripping and nobody wants to be less than anybody else, so they'll constantly be upbidding. It's human nature to do this, of course, to preserve one's own integrity and honour, but that's what a game system is for: To make that unnecessary.

    Or try playing Doom in Godmode. It's the same effect, really. The Game is taken away by such cheats, because they make you so powerful.

    And now you may ask: 'But that's not the LORE, now is it?' And that's true. However, when your lore also encompasses shitty Gary Stu powertripping (the main hero is even called 'George Starkiller/Luke (lucas) Skywalker), and everyone who is cool is also a complete and utter nigh unbeatable badass by sole virtue of being cool, then 'Godmode' pretty much IS the lore.

    Force users in SW series tend to fluctuate wildly from super powerful (Force Unleashed) to barely more capable than an average soldier, let alone a dozen (Original trilogy).
    The night is dark and full of terrors...

    Player Force users don't have to be insanely powerful, and this would even make sense if BioWare had kept it in their pants a little with the plotlines (ie, you're not the most amazingly shockingly powerful <your class> ever!!) and given your character a more gradual power curve in the storyline.

    But NPC Force users should rightly wipe the floor with you in most situations, otherwise it cheapens the supposed fear and intimidation of Jedi/Sith. It's a common feature in game design to see certain enemy types as "fodder" while other ones make you go "oh god damnit" and that philosophy probably should have been in place with SWTOR's Force users. Something's wrong when an enemy labeled "Sith Lord" feels like the same fight as "Imperial Trooper".

    Part of the issue is I think they wanted the whole Star Wars feel accessible to 'everyone', hence 'easy' missions included Weak/Standard Sith/Jedi as part of the trash packs so that even low-skill/effort players can fight the big heroes/villains. That's not a bad principle, but in practice it undermines a lot of the impact of going up against Force users.

    Honestly, I usually found Jedi easier to kill — even Strong/Elites — compared to non-Force enemies. This is because the Jedi tended to stick to abilities I could easily mitigate/avoid, while tech users like BHs and Esh-Ka tend to assault you with nasty Internal and Elemental effects and otherwise dish out tons of damage/control. So I got to the point where I'd go "Oh good, it's just a Jedi." >.<
