Before MoP beta started didn't we see the box art show up in the battle.net website files somewhere? And then later that day/week was when people started saying the beta showed up on their account? Anyone know how to check for that artwork?

Yes...yes it is, I love watching these things, it's just so hilariously bad. Beta management is on a completely different page and the page it is on doesn't list expansions by individual name (only "Warcraft" or "Starcraft" and the like).

Especially given the fact that both names should be queried from database. There's no point in having separate titles on one website, it's run by a PHP engine anyways. You store the title in DB once and then just query it in many different places.

This is why lack of colon is bothering me so much - if both titles didn't have it, I'd be less skeptical.

Blizzard is sadly not on a PHP engine. Close though, they use .frag: https://us.battle.net/login/en/login.frag that would be an example, which is actually from JAVA and the site reports back to .JSP (Java Server Pages). I might add that the call from the launcher is also Java connecting to a Java socket. If you didn't catch what I was saying. They use 'Java'. Oh and the web design team they hire requires; you guessed it.. Java programming knowledge.

Missing colon could be a simple error on someone's part. I'm still skeptical, just saying it's not damning evidence... plus I'm hopeful that beta is indeed starting soon, lol.

I'm skeptically hopeful, on one hand, a quick google shows that the Mists beta DID have the ":"

although, I admit, that since the Mists and Warlords' "signs" have drastically different outlines, and I could not locate a "blank" box image it would take a very skilled artist to throw together that box image.

the lack of a ":" could simply be a typo if Blizzard is getting the site ready, we are talking about something that to begin with, was seen in error.
