I'm sorry, I have to cry foul on this one. Blizzard never outright said, "you will be able to transmog directly from Void Storage"; people just assumed that, because the two features were being implemented in the same patch, and because both Void Storage and Transmogrification announcements mentioned that Void Storage would be a useful place to store gear you were keeping strictly for transmog, that you'd be able to transmog without withdrawing the item first. People just ignored the parts about using Void Storage for gear that you don't intend to use "on a regular basis", and the lack of any sort of statement saying you could use a deposited item directly for transmog without first withdrawing it.

99% (can't prove it since it was a post in the PTR forums) sure the system was supposed to work like today, like a blue post said during the testing. For some reason it didn't and in patch 5.3 they implemented it as a new feature.

I just don't want garrison locations to be the same, even though they didn't hide it this time but will undoubtedly be forgotten by the time they bring it so for most people it will be something new.

I fully expect something to happen around the time Wildstar gets released. Zarhym may have told us they don't do things that way, but come on....of course they do. They did something when Elder Scrolls Online was released.
