To quote myself from earlier:

They said again today, I am sure they have said it in the past too, that teams need to be rated properly by August 25th, this implies the season ends that day, which could put 6.0 releasing August 26th, September 2nd, or September 9th, obviously only one of these dates is really in range of being possible, September 9th, that assumes we get PTR going within a week or so. But yeah, its fun to predict things.... maybe I can be right for once >_>

Ya, most of the anecdotal evidence (specifically raid testing and the way they are going about it) says its likely October. Its just that's not factual evidence and beta has been so crazy already and the one thing im waiting for is: PTR.

I dunno man, I can't remember 100% but I'm pretty sure 5.0 was on ptr before we knew a release date, I may be wrong tho.

October 21st 2014. You heard it here first folks.

We are just under 3 months from release. 13.5 months of 5.4. One of the better raids in wows history will go down as one of the worst. Watch, it will happen.

October 21 is simply not going to happen. It just doesn't work when you look at the timeline it would create. An October 21 release would mean normal raids open October 28 and mythic raids open the week of November 4, just 2 days before Blizzcon. There is no way that would happen if they are planning to do a live raid, etc unless they want to release the expansion and then delay the raids opening for 3-4 weeks.

Completing Mythic has taken 2-3 raid lockouts for even world first guilds the last 2 tiers. Therefore, they need to allow a MINIMUM of 2 weeks between the release of Mythic and Blizzcon, or the expansion will be after Blizzcon.

From what I can see, it's either released by October 7, or it's delayed until at least November 18 if they are sticking with the week 2 - heroic, week 3 - mythic release cycle. We will know very quickly if October 7 is happening, because it would require a release date be announced within the next 2 weeks or so.

They have seemed to always line the announcement up with being put out almost exactly 60 days ahead of the release. That lead time is probably required for retail channels and other internal stuff, given it has been almost exactly 60 days every single expansion. If we don't get a release date this week, we can rule out September 23, and keep ruling out additional weeks every week we don't have a release date.

They don't need to do anything like that. It's literally like 100 people you're talking about who are in that race for world first (as in, maybe 3/4 guilds have any real chance of being world first).

It's just a two-day event. They're not going to delay WoD for millions of people so that 100 folks racing for world first are not slightly inconvenienced.

Plus Highmaul is like MSV (half a tier lower item level, probably no tier gear). The ultimate outcome of the entire tier's race will not be affected by a 2-day Blizzcon during the first third of it.

I already reported the bug to blizzard hours ago on the forums. And besides, I haven't even been able to recreate the bug.

I mean, it could be a hell of a lot worse than the game thinking I'm still in FFR. I could be exploiting bad bugs like the one that caused stampede to get disabled because people were summoning 4 level 100 hydras that would oneshot literally everything.

I don't see the difference between what I did (on accident) and what people were doing intentionally weeks ago to explore the rest of draenor. Mainly the graveyard bug that let you go around as a ghost and explore everything. Or using farsite to get in to the zones. I just don't think that it's bad enough to be worth a ban, especially since the way I did it was a total and complete accident and I was running to nagrand to try and get autoported to org. And like I said, it's not like I've actually been able to recreate the bug.
