It's not about the 10$, It's all about paying something for what is worth and to me like many other players, WoD is not adding more than MoP (imho even less) thus it should not be worth more.

Just gonna point out that Dec. 20th is the last day of autumn. So, that would technically still be a "fall" release date. I haven't played since before Thanksgiving, so maybe an entire year away from WoW will give me the urge to resub for release. For me, it's really going to depend on how well ESO does. If Zeni keeps their word about the 4-6 week update schedule and does a decent job at them, I'll never look back.

Cars, computers parts, console games, pc games in general.. all those arent affected by this inflation you speak of. And in the case of computer parts, I'd even say its cheaper now than it was in 2004.

Hah, well Blizzard won't be getting any more money from me.
Not only the late aspired release date, the ridiculous price aswell.
One should think that years of stuffing with money would earn a
bit of trust, but apparently not. WoW was the most expensive game I ever played.
It is sad that the best MMO released isn't good enough anymore.

Considering we know next to nothing right now about this expansion and that the release date is still uncertain, those of you who decide to pre-order this and then a few months from now complain that "the game is shit, I want my 50 bucks back, they deceived me!" will have no one to turn to. All legitimacy in your complaints will be gone if you take a dive and then hit your head at the bottom.

Its the principle of the matter. Blizzard has been milking a dying player base for the last 3-4 years, and now they 1) increase the prices of each form of their expansion (normal, digital and collectors), and 2) Plan to release the expansion at the latest on 12/20/2013.

Blizzard as far as their MMO WoW goes has really gone downhill fast. Thank goodness they still produce other games like Diablo and Starcraft, otherwise I would abandon this company completely.

Bull. Games use to be 50 dollars now they're about 60 for a new release. Development costs go up, marketing costs go up, support costs go up. That's inflation.

To those claiming either that the price should be fixed or that a raise to $50 is justified because of inflation, the truth is somewhere in between.

Since the first expansion was released in 2007, US cumulative inflation has been 12%, indicating that $40 in 2007 is equivalent of $45 today. In the US that is, European mileage may vary.

All of you please go back to school and learn something. It says on the site FALL 2014. For tards that don't know, the reason for the December 20th date is cause WINTER BEGINS DECEMBER 21ST!!!!.

Unfortunately a lot of people of late are not exactly that bright if they actually did some googling they would know that Spring Southern Hemisphere / Autumn Northern Hemisphere goes from the 19th / 20th of September and Summer Southern Hemisphere / Winter Northern Hemisphere starts on the 21st of December 2014..

MoP beta started 2012 march, MoP was released in late september, so let's say WoD beta starts in april or may, expect a release for late october, november or early december.

MoP had a long beta because of the annual pass and getting beta invites to, millions?
of people, they can have a smaller pool in the WoD beta shortening the time it needs to be there

Add in higher costs across the board, and you justify 5$ in inflation and 5$ in cost increases. in other words, it's balanced.

It's 10 freak'n dollars for something you buy only every two and a half years or so. Is that so bad?
