Kingpin is a horrible villain for a movie and was best used in the show as they already did.

All I know is I don't want to see team up villains like the sinister six, b/c loads of villains just make bad movies like Spidey3. They need to do Mysterio and symbiote in one movie. Then they need to do Venom after a credits scene where it finds Brock. Then they need to do Carnage where they team up. Then Agent Venom with Guardians 4.

You can push a lot of ground with PG13 with the right cuts and stuff, you'd be surprised how violent TV is these days. They wouldn't need to do an R Carnage, just need a savvy director.

You can do a team-up villain movie if you've established the villains previously, rather than introducing them within the movie.

While this would be enjoyable, I think it might up costs and make any future appearances
be more difficult to do unfortunately. Though I'd love to see him eventually be confronted
by a hero annoyed that he's pretending to be them...

Brunnhilde is one of my wife's favs. Maybe they can turn that diversion of the franchise to the Hevens (spelling intentional) and work this in to Angela movies. They have a lot of meat on the Asgard side of things and moving away from Thor is probably a great idea.

MARVEL AND FOX TEAM-UP FOR TWO X-MEN TV SERIES: HELLFIRE AND LEGION

In a notable development for comic book adaptations, given the turbulent history between Marvel and Fox regarding the X-Men-related characters Fox has long had the film rights to, Marvel and Fox have announced they are teaming up for two different TV series based on X-Men characters.

First up, for the FOX network, is Hellfire. Set in the 1960s, the potential series centers on the Hellfire Club – and a young Special Agent who learns that “a power-hungry woman with extraordinary abilities is working with a clandestine society of millionaires to take over the world.”

X-Men movie producers Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg will team with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory and 24 alumni Evan Katz and Manny Coto to executive produce. The pilot is being written by Patrick McKay and JD Payne.

The second Marvel/Fox TV project is being made for the FX network and is called Legion – a name X-Men fans will recognize as the alter ego of Charles Xavier’s son, David Haller. Reads the description, “The pilot introduces the story of David Haller: Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.”

One more executive producing are Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory, joined by John Cameron (Fargo). Executive producing and writing Legion is Noah Hawley, the EP and showrunner for Fargo.

While Hellfire is only in the development stage, FX has ordered a pilot for Legion.

My hope is that they got Galactus and Dr. Doom usage as well as FF name-use rights
at least. I doubt it, but that's my hope. If Marvel (or Fox,) is trying to mend bridges,
maybe it'll eventually lead to a deal akin to the Sony/Marvel one.

"You can tell from the title that shit hits the fan in Thor: Raganrok, but just how serious is the movie? It's so serious, so dark, that Marvel decided to hire a comedy director to bring a touch of lightness to the proceedings. Yes, Taika Waititi was hired to balance out the grimness of the script and bring it tonally a little closer to what Marvel fans have come to expect.

That's what sources deep inside Disney are whispering to me, anyway. Waititi may yet be joined by another writer to help brighten the corners of Ragnarok while maintaining writer Christopher Yost's apocalyptic vibe. One way that may happen is to up the humor between Thor and Hulk, who I have been led to believe will be not only appearing in the movie but will be playing a major role. The two heroes will be taking a cosmic road trip together, Hope and Crosby style.

Along the way they're going to meet Valkyries, as you might expect from a story about the Norse end of the world, but my source tells me that besides the Valkyries (generic) the film might launch Marvel superheroine Valkyrie into the Cinematic Universe. First introduced in the pages of The Avengers, Valkryie, aka Brunnhilde, was a longtime member of The Defenders, hung out with Doctor Strange and had Norse goddess The Enchantress as her enemy. In fact it was an Enchantress story that introduced Valkyrie in the comics - could this mean we'll see The Enchantress finally make it to the screen? I'm not entirely clear on how Valkyrie is being used - it could be in the group of Norse mythological beings who bring the gods to Valhalla after they die or it could be as the standalone superheroine. This part is a little muddled, and I'm trying to get further clarity from other sources - it's hard out there because all of my Marvel sources have clammed up after the regime change. All I know for sure is that Marvel thinks they're going to cast some great women in this movie.

Keep Valkyrie in mind as you hear rumors about women meeting with Marvel. If the superheroine is joining the MCU (and you have to think it's a good idea), the studio will be meeting with many powerful women who could also play Captain Marvel. It's going to be an interesting rumor season leading up to Thor: Ragnarok. "

"Captain America: Civil War wrapped a few months back and we know for sure Tom Holland/Spider-Man has a big role in it. So far, details have been scarce on our friendly neighborhood wall crawler. The info that we’ve already received is that, Peter has already been Spider-Man for a while before Civil War, he’ll be around the age of 15 and in High School.

The only thing we haven’t heard about so far is the costume design. Not a single set image was released and there were rumors about it being CGI. Late last night I received a hot tip that Marvel held a special 15 minute screening the other night for a theater staff and in the footage they showed Spidey’s new costume. THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION IS UNCONFIRMED:

I like the idea of taking Spidey’s design back to its roots. I love the original Spidey 1966 costume and I’m hoping they add a little webbing underneath the arms. This design could be a good start to make Spidey a household name and to make fans happy again. Marvel has only had Spidey back for 9 months to date and they’re already showing that they’re taking better care of Spidey than Sony ever could.

"When asked about her appearance in next year's Captain America: Civil War, Olsen stated that Wanda is "coming into her own" in the film and "starting to understand and have conflict with how she wants to use her abilities" before going on to add the following about the film.

“It’s a dramatic conflict within her and obviously there’s conflict within the (Avengers) as well. I like that they didn’t release Scarlet Witch in the promo photos for the teams — it places her as being a wild card, and I like her having that kind of edge that people don’t know what she’s capable of. They can fear her because she is so incredibly powerful in a different way than the rest of the heroes for the most part. I like playing that role within the gang.”

At the end of Age Of Ultron fans were teased by a possible connection between two characters. When asked if there is there a chance that we could see a romance between Wanda and Paul Bettany's The Vision in the future, Olsen commented briefly on the subject.

“It has to be House of M. That’s still all I want to do, I don’t care. I would just love to have make-believe children and have him play along with it and then just decide to destroy all mutants. That would be so fun but obviously that would never happen.”

While a direct adaptation of that story is nearly impossible for Marvel Studios to pull off due to character rights, there's always the chance that we could see them play around with the basic concept somewhere down the line. The network has bought the script for a 30-minute, single-camera sitcom that will follow the clean-up crew of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sound familiar? Yes, the network has committed to pilot commitment for a comedy series based on a comic book that originally debuted in 1989, Damage Control.

seems marvel might have changed their minds on the "no origin story" however, i think even if strange has an origin story it will be more condensed. kind of like ant man where it was less origin more straight to the story, by having an ant man already exist alot of the originy stuff got skipped, the same can be true for strange as he might not be sorceror supreme. or they could do it via flashbacks which is how i would do it. have strange be arrogant and realize hes acting the same way he did when he damaged his hands. as the picture has been posted a few times "has learned nothing"

While we still do not know who Rachel McAdams will portarying in the upcoming film, the Marvel Studios head revealed that she "plays a very, very big part in the movie and represents a certain point of view of the worlds that we experience in that movie". He then went on to add that while she plays a very important role in the film, Stephen Strange is without a doubt "the character we follow through the movie."

Not long ago, it was revealed that actress Tilda Swinton would be portraying a male comic character called The Ancient One in the film. When asked whether the actress would be portraying a male or female version in the film, Feige had the following to say about the subject.

“We get an amazing actress to play an amazing character, and do it in a way that’s very unique and doesn’t fall into any outdated stereotypes that sometimes pop up in the comics from years past. It’s funny you ask ‘Will Tilda Swinton be playing a woman?’ and you ask it because she does an amazing job of being sort of ambiguous in terms of gender. I think you’ll see us playing it in ways that she’s played other characters that way. Clearly she’s a woman, but it is very ambiguous in her portrayal.”

"One of the complaints that many fans have had about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is when it comes to their films and televisions series. Sure, we know they take place in the same universe and that "it's all connected" but sometimes it doesn't feel that way. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Daredevil often refer to the events of the films but we don't see it happening the other way around. Tonight at an event for the home video release of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige commented on the situation and it sounds like that might not be the case in the future.

“I think that’s inevitable at some point as we’re plotting the movies going forward and they’re doing the shows.”

Feige went on to say that the issue so far has been that the schedules for the two "do not always quite match up to make that possible." He continued on stating:

“It’s easier for them. They’re more nimble and faster and produce things quicker than we do, which is one of the main reasons you see the repercussions of Winter Soldier and Age Of Ultron in the show.

Going forward and certainly as they begin to do more shows and cast them with such great actors as they have — particularly Daredevil — that that may occur. A lot of it is by the time we start doing a movie, they’d be midway through a season; by the time it comes out they’d be done with the second, starting the third season. Finding timing on that is not always easy.”

With a constantly expanding universe on both the small and big screen, it really was only a matter of time before this one had to happen. Could this mean we might see The Defenders in the upcoming Infinity War? Will Coulson finally reveal his being alive to the members of The Avengers in an upcoming episode of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.? As seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is a new world on the horizon and these comments are encouraging when it comes to those possibilities. "Last night we heard a little bit from Kevin Feige about the future connections between Marvel's films and television. While speaking at the same event for the home release of The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, the head of Marvel Studios also had some comments on the addition of a certain wall crawler to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the "great purpose" that he would serve beyond his appearance in next year's Captain America: Civil War.

“Making that agreement...was great, and was really amazing, and on a personal level making these movies, it means a lot because I think we can do great things with Spider-Man. I think Spider-man can serve great purpose in our universe and that’s where he belongs. That was what was unique about him in the comics was not that he was the only superhero in the world; it’s that he was a totally different kind of superhero when compared against all the other ones in the Marvel universe at the time.”

Feige commented that it's "not about when you show up, it's about what you do once you're there" in regards to the where the character has been up until now seemingly confirming that he has been active for a small period of time. He also revealed that Marvel has always had a plan ready in case they got the character but also a contingency plan ready to go if things didn't work out.

“This has been a dream of ours for a long time,. We always had contingency plans, which we always do anyway. Are we going to be able to make another deal with this actor? If so, we’re going to do this; if not, we’re going to do this. If we get the rights to a certain character, that’s great; we’re going to do this. If not, we’re going to do this. We always sort of operate under those various alternate timelines available and ready to shift if something happens.”

Feige then went on to state that the "most important thing" for the studio when it comes to the property though is "relaunching Spider-Man in his own standalone movie with his own storylines that fits into this universe. That is job number one for us. The connectivity is great, but it doesn't drive the train." In regards to the characters appearance in Captain America: Civil War and just how big of a role the character has in the film, he said the following:

“There were a lot of characters in The Winter Soldier, but it felt like a very singular and relatively simple thriller. Civil War follows in that same way.

I think that’s something [directors Joe and Anthony Russo] pride themselves on, and our screenwriters Chris Markus and Steve McFeely are excellent at giving each character just enough. They’re not full arcs for everybody; it’s just enough that their presence is felt and important, but that the very clear single story that is being told is being served at all times.”

"Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 closes the chapter on phase 3 of Marvels Cinematic Universe. Many of us have wondered how long Marvel's contracts will last and if actors will renew after their contracts are up. Stars Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth have expressed their wants to branch out, while Robert Downey JR is raking in the dough from his numerous contract extensions, so everything might not be set in stone for Marvels future.

Last night we were given better insight on how the Marvel Cinematic Universe will look after Infinity War. At an Avengers: Age Of Ultron DVD release press event Kevin Feige and Jeremy Latcham opened up and let us in on Marvel's future during a Q/A. When asked if Infinity War will serve as a conclusion to phase 3 or as an entry into Phase 4 Marvel Producer Jeremy Latcham stated:

“It definitely is an end to some version of the team that we’ve come to know in The Avengers. Who knows exactly what’s gonna happen yet in that film but I think this version of that team, and I think we hint to it at the end of Age of Ultron, that the team will be a evolving. And one of the things that we love from the comics is that the roster is always changing. New people are coming onto the team. You can pick up an Avengers book 10 years later and you don’t recognize the people on the cover but the ideas and the ideals that make the Avengers the Avengers still exist and I think that’s part of what this culmination will be. We’re seeing this version of the team doing this thing to save the universe, the galaxy, however you want to put it, and then we’ll kind of see where that goes. You know? It’s not the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but I think it’s the end of part of it, for sure. We’re still trying to sort out which parts.”

I hope it's true, but Marvel trading X-men TV rights for F4 rights has been the general hope/speculation since the reboot was released. So could well just be people jumping to conclusions now that Marvel has given Fox the go ahead to bring the X-men to the small screen. But...those TV rights couldn't have been an easy buy for Fox. Marvel would have had to have gotten something. Either a lot of money, or some sort of IP rights.

And 2020 is still a long way away, so plenty of time for the taste of this latest failure to be washed out of people's mouths. By that point, audience's can hopefully come into a Fantastic Four film with new eyes.

Supposedly Fox gets those X-Men TV series because of a deal that gets Marvel the movie rights to Fantastic Four (and the many assets linked to FF) back. Rumour mill as always, but it'd be interesting if it's true.

Now If this is true, I'm super happy. If they've gotten them back, my guess is that they'll largely use the Four as TV cameos, and the villains as proper big villains. (Though, it's possible that one of the three untitled 2020 films is for them...)

If Dr Doom is coming back to MARVEL, hold off Mads Mikkelsen on the Dr. Strange movie villain role and keep him for Victor Von Doom.

My Pitch - At the end of Infinity War when the heroes win and New York is in flames the teams (GoG, Avengers etc) are all happy they have defeated Thanos sit down for their usual banter in a post credit sting - suddenly a black energy rift tears open in front of them spilling out Kirby Krackle like its going out of fashion. Out of this space wormhole thingy walk four characters dressed in 1960s spacesuits but adorned with alien tech and odd futuristic bits.

All you can see at first is a neon glowing '4' that is front and centre of each suit. As they walk into shot you see a CGI John Byrne inspired looking Thing who is actually orange and has solid hexagonal sections all of his body and a brow that covers his baby blue eyes that are full of character, a beautiful blonde woman, a young mid-20s handsome man that has a heat haze coming off him, and a classic grey-templed Reed Richards walk through the tear.

With four words ('What did we miss?') we cut to black and Marvel kicks off Phase 4 with the re-introduction of the Fantastic Four who have been travelling dimensions since the late 60's but as time/space is different have not aged a bit. Reed said he had to return as the multiverse is that something terrible is coming, something from the beginning of time- a horror that will effect all of time and space... Galactus is coming and we must prepare.

I'll post a couple of the comments from the source site that I found interesting here.

I like the idea of the time/dimension travel aspect for the Fantastic Four. It explains why we haven't heard of them before now without needing a huge origin story. And it would provide some fish out of water scenarios and a throwback to the old comic book days with this classic 60's family.

A F4 TV show would be interesting, but I'd like to see a movie done justice and seeing as Doom would almost certainly be a film character it seems wrong to deprive the Fantastic Four of tackling their main villain.
