If you have even 10 dps who are killing adds, most of you will constantly be losing dps as the targets die before you can really do anything, especially as melee... by the time you get to the target they are dead... crap dies really fast on LFR and it makes your dps look terrible.

But then the OP knew this, which is why he used this particular fight to post his screenshot.

And that's all well and good, but look also at the damage done per player. They just weren't putting out enough damage. And yes, melee can tunnel the dino as long as ranged are killing adds. But even considering the fight isn't meter-friendly, it's STILL abysmally low DPS.
