Never played Vanilla D3, but the $20 sale on D3 made me buy the game (was already interested in it after hearing good things about the 2.0 changes) and I bought the xpac as well.

So, in a way it did although I would also say I was interested in it because I recently became hooked on Path of Exile and I needed another ARPG to feed my addiction :P.

I wouldn't say it 'changed my mind' about it - I always kinda enjoyed it, just never had much of an incentive to keep going tbh. It has made it much more enjoyable for me though and i'm actually playing it now, so yeah

I think I got to level 20 in vanilla d3. I have 3 60's now, and am just waiting to play a crusader.

I used to like diablo 3, but after realizing how dependent it was on AH, i quit. After 2.0 i really enjoy drop change and AH removal

I quit at some point when I was able to do MP6 or so regularly without dying, mostly because I really did not get any loot I could use, and playing the AH game was boring as hell.

I've played a fair amount the last week, but I'm still waiting for the expansion to increase my playtime regularly, since I do not really see the appeal to invest too much time right now, seeing I already found Hallowed Defenders and a fair amount of other good BS plans.

Though one thing I generally do not like is the fact they removed my lifesteal from mighty belts, since those 3% are amazing and lifesteal were a large part of my survival pre-2.0, and I don't really like to change that part, but meh..

Wouldn't go as far as claiming I really like it but out of boredom I will spend a couple hours playing the crusader.

I loved D2, but only played vanilla D3 for a few weeks.... I pretty much quit when I found out playing without any use of the AH whatsoever was pretty damn near impossible, as finding good items for yourself was the exception instead of the rule. Hell difficulty was literally Hell on my self-found chars, and Inferno just not done.

A few weeks ago I read by chance about loot 2.0 and gave it another chance. I'm loving the game now! Getting good gear is still a grind, but all my chars can now do Torment 2 with relative ease, leveling is no longer a chose (compared to doing the same quests 4 times) and a lot of my friends are playing again for the same reason.

Looking forward to adventure mode too next week!

If anything has caught my interest, it's those Australian servers popping up. Diablo 3 isn't fun at 300+ ms. Doable, but not fun. If these servers represent a permanent solution, I'll praise Blizzard for finally getting the clue that shunting ANZ players onto US servers doesn't work in an environment where ping actually matters.

It did make me try out the game again, and I have put some hours into it now and I enjoy it way more than before.

Always enjoyed Diablo 3, but 2.0 is definitely a step in the right direction. The game is a lot more enjoyable right now than at release. The current developers have done a very good job.

I hated Diablo III vanilla. The thing that the game calculated so you would not get good gear because they want you to use your gold or RL money on AH was just bad...

But now that I can see I can actually gear up myself and it is fun at the same time got me all hooked.

I am still missing some talent tree, but the Paragon point system is close enough at the moment. Let's see if it will be enough later on.

Emm I went with "Yes, I like it now, and didn't before."

Even though I mean "Yes I love it now, and I liked it before." but it seemed like the only option that said 2.0 improved the game.

I played Vanilla quite a bit, but I am playing 2.0 much more

I barely played it before 2.0 (Bought it on Launch, super hyped) but after 2.0 I've put a lot of time into it. Playing hardcore without the AH is the most fun I've had in a long time and I can't wait for Rifts/Adventure mode.

Back in the day ( and now still) I was raiding in WoW so it was inevetable to buy the Annual Pass, thus I have gotten a free Diablo as well. I started to play with it and I tried to like it. And when I mean I tried i REALLY tried hard to find that spark in the game which can draw me in, such as it was with WoW or SC. The truth was, however that the game itself was so incredibly flawed and monotonous that it broke my spirit entirely: utterly horrendious loot system, the supidity that you had to beat normal, nightmare and hell just to play inferno ( which was ridiculously broken too) was infuriating and the dependency of the Ah was just too much. After me and few friends killed Diablo on Inferno I found myself bored and the lack of drops ( not to mention decent ones) made me to quit the game for good.

Lately however I have heard people talking about 2.0 and started the game again. Now I have 4 lvl 60s, each of every class and I am leveling my Barbarian so I can have a full set till RoS arrives. The polished system and the fantastic new changes made me to give the game a second chance, and frankly, I have to say that I am yet to regret this decision as the game, now as it stands, is pure fun ( most of the times ^^).

Love it now, liked it before, can't shake the feeling that RoS isn't a true expansion just a polish of the original which should/could have been done at lanch

No. Diablo 3 is still the same type of ARPG- fast paced, casual with an emphasis on spectacle. All the expansion does is add additional features to that game design.

It's not like suddenly Diablo 3 has a bunch of new super complex systems for calculation or method of operation. Blizz kinda made the game even more streamlined, leaner. Which is fine and works to great effect in Diablo 3.

Enjoyed D3, but now i enjoy it more - simple as that.

Yes, originally purchased the Diablo III: Collector's Edition but only took one level 60 and left the game.

But now I'm interested again to start the game with 2.0 changes and incoming Crusader -class, none of the original classes interested me.
