Megaman X!! Unfortunately never made into a full anime (even though one was planned and cancelled), but I'd still consider Megaman a cartoon character.

I think Megaman 2 on the NES must be one of the first video games that I ever beat, so when the SNES and X series came out I was super stoked. I've been a fan since, even if Capcom hasn't done much with it in the past decade.

There's not much else to say. Megaman is just really good sci-fi (based on Astro Boy) which revolutionized platformers again and again.

I lack a real favourite, but honorable mentions to various characters from Avatar.
Toph comes to mind, as do uncle Iroh, Zuko and king Bumi.

It's an older cartoon based on the dutch culture. The stories are good and educational, but the subjects wouldn't work anymore today. There is a character based on Hitler for example. But it was cool back in the days.

Avatar Kyoshi from The Last Airbender. An absolute badass unit who single handedly split a peninsula from the mainland to create an island while also killing a warlord in the process. Mind you this was while under the influence of the Avatar State.

Also gave Aang the harshest but most direct advice for the Ozai situation, which I agreed with.

She had very little screen time during TLA, but more than most past Avatars. But she was awesome.
