would like advice on how to pump out more dps

I'm not sure why but I feel I could be doing a lot more in fights. I don't think my gems and enchants are wrong my gear certainly isn't ...for what I can get currently .. so...why is a shaman with literally 3 more ilv then me pulling 160k more?

I heard about some single target haste build but i'm not that convinced of it because of elemental focus.

I would like the advice of a shaman who is in heroics...12/14h min here's the stats if you want to see it..

im really concerned with IJ the most. 300k is what I did in regular gear.

I would go with Unleashed Fury for High Movement fights ; Malkorok, Jugger, Dark Shamans. I guess if you're good at stutter casting, then EB may work for you, for me personally I find having an instant better. However, for stronger mastery builds, which is looks like you have, you'll be gaining a fair amount of Elemental Overloads, and the stronger your LvB/LB are, the stronger your overloads will be( 30 % increase to LvB, overload at 75% of base; a LvB at around normal dmg). You'll also have that 10% increase to LvB when you cast Ascendace (around 10 seconds). The fights I used EB in this tier, was Council (spread of progress/adds), Immerseus(adds), Nazgrim (adds), Spoils(spark).

In terms of your gear, it looks like you have too many items with spirit, which is a problem most eles have had when gearing. You could try simming a few normal modes peices and see if by dropping spirit based items to mastery/haste items you get more of a benefit. Gaze of Arrogance would be a nice upgrade for you and well as the Thok ring.

In addition to what Ekkoeu said, looking at your logs you're also trying to compare your Elemental Dps with the other shaman's Enhancement Dps. I believe currently equivalent gear Enhance is out performing Elemental by a wide margin.

First:

Armory shows that you have no enchants on your shield and on your rings - fix that.

Second:

You say you compare yourself to the shaman "Kat" in the top guild of your server.

Which fight do you refer to with the 160k dps?

I assume that you refer to Iron Juggernaut.

Looking at the log you posted, we have the following data from your respective kills:

Your fight length: 6:45
Your dps (effective): ~230k

Their fight length: 4:34
Kat's dps (effective): ~213k

So - what is your point exactly?

Regarding your question "why is a shaman with literally 3 more ilv then me pulling 160k more?":

It appears that you were looking at the column "DPS" in Kat's log which shows 366k dps.
However, Kat died because of seismic activity and only lived for ~59% of the fight, i.e. 2:41 minutes.
Therefore, Kat's DPS is obviously still very high because of the high influence of Heroism during those 2:41 minutes.

On the other hand, it is:
a) never good to compare columns "DPS" with "DPS" or even column "DPS" with column "DPS (effective)" (which would result in those "160k more" as mentioned above when comparing you with Kat)
b) never good to compare your own fight with a fight of completely different fight length (possibly different startegy) and different boss uptime resulting from death during the fight.

Further, I agree with most of what was said in the first answer to your post.

PS: Please do not jump too fast to conclusions when looking at a few number's in logs. It appears from a lot of posts here that logs have not been appropriately analyzed before posting them on the forums for help. Reasons for different number's are usually derivable from the logs themselves like in your case, which requires at least a few moments of more in-depth analyzation of the cirumstances of their origin.

As far as gear goes, need new belt cuz lolcrit, and thok ring/siegecrafter boots if you wanna reign in that hit. Like people said above, can't really compare fights with such vastly different fight lengths cuz ele dps only really goes down after that initial burst with both trinkets/prepot/FET/Ascendance

You'll see that I got a decent amount more LB off than you, and your FS time was pretty horrendous. 78% for a fight with only a single target... may need to get/make a weakaura if you don't already have one. That's where you lost a lot of damage. If you look at the difference between our lava bursts, you were probably hitting the boss without FS up (ignore the fact that i got 100% mastery procs on my LvBs)
