I distinctly remember that during the MoP beta, there was this achievement which was "Do all of this. yes, all of it. Stop whining", but I cannot remember whether it was the final rares achievement or the final treasures achievement. could anyone enlighten me?

It was Cataclysm. And the achievement was "It Belongs in a Museum!"
