Do we really need any more playable races?

Ogres, harpies, ethereals... there are lots of races in WoW that haven't been made playable at this time... but do we really need any more?

    No.

While they are cool, now I think there are enough races in the game. New races take away development on other parts of the game like raids and such. That matters more to me than a new race.

I would like more. I'd come back for more. I don't really have a panda though. And I don't play green races. Or Alliance.

    We really don't.

No, we didn't need the last 3 either. All they are is a hook to pull in players. Since the topics are often linked though I would rather see 1 or 2 new races then a new class.

Na, I don't think we really do. I'm sure we'll get more, but they are unnecessary.
(Not that I'm opposed to new races; I for one welcome our new overlords!)

I wouldn't mind more customization options for current races... especially ones that are free (like any barbershop option).

So you only play 2 to 3 of the horde races and have skipped on the last 2 yet want more, sound thinking.

Need? Of course not. But just because we don't need something doesn't mean that we shouldn't have it.

A new class / new race is the thing that gets me most hyped for an expac. I still 100% plan on getting WoD, but the lack of either of those has made this the least-hype expansion yet. I can imagine that a lot of other people share my view.

This is like asking if you'd like another piece of cake. You know there is no need for it, but it is still good nonetheless.

    Not at all.

No, we don't. I think we are really good with classes too.
I'd really want more customization over anything. Sub-races over new races anyday.

Statistically we definitely don't, but I do enjoy new class/races just draw out the player pool so your class combo becomes/seems slightly more rare.

The nice thing about new races is they don't necessarily disturb the meta unlike a new class.

And I know I'm always up for more racial diversity in the games I play. When you see a billion Humans running around, it's boring.

We don't NEED more, however I love having variety.

Ever since they showed those...Tigrans? I've wanted those because I love cat races, especially badass non-skinny ones, so I would love those.

So they're not needed, but more races would attract more of a player base, and if you don't like them you don't have to play them so there's not real downside. Besides of course people complaining that they take up other development work in the game...which it doesn't really, only takes up art team time.

Yes, more customization and choices are always welcome. At some point you'll get bored of looking at the current races and as you said in the OP, there's races like Ogres, Ethereal, Nagas, Arakkoa that would make wonderful additions to the game, and Blizzard agrees, well atleast Chris Metzen does.

Yes. There is nothing wrong with giving players more options.

I'd prefer more customisation for the current races we have to be quite honest.

Yeah, if they are aesthetic, I don't see a problem. I can't be Alliance, but I wouldn't mind being a werewolf. Something about playing an Orc just... nah. And goblins, no. That leaves 4. Not 2, not 3.

I think we just need to switch out pandas for something else
