Ability pruning and solo efforts

So I've still been unlucky enough to not get a beta key so thought I'd ask here. With all the ability pruning and classes having things such as self healing nerfed (either by mana cost or flat out number changes) where do we stand on solo players.
So wondering on how classes stand this way. Not so much soloing old raids etc, more current content such as the random rare mobs (which are timeless isle style I believe).
That kind of vein.
I know dks hunters etc obviously excell at that kind of thing, but what about others. Shamans, rogues, notoriously poor warriors. That kind of thing.

Also considering gear dependency. Obviously overhearing everything makes it far easier. I won't be in great raiding gear in WoD, it will be LFR, Hc scenario, that kind of gear

warlocks hunters will still be kings due to pets ignoring quite a few mechanics.
