PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($208.99 @ NCIX US) Went with the i5. All I'm using it for is WOW specifically, so I did not think the i7 was needed.

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($88.99 @ Newegg)
    Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($79.98 @ OutletPC) Figured 8 GB would be enough for WoW
Storage: Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($98.98 @ SuperBiiz) For my OS / WoW
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($48.49 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card ($348.99 @ Directron) Went with decent GC
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($69.99 @ Newegg) A little overkill on PWS but i rather safe than sorry
    Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($16.98 @ OutletPC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($86.43 @ SuperBiiz)
Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27.0" Monitor ($399.99 @ Newegg) 1440p is for WoW (I wanted them side by side and same size)

This will be my first time ever building a computer. Wish me luck!

Looks like a great WoW rig. I'm looking at ordering one pretty similar soon.

Only thing I would have changed is maybe the power supply, like you said, but that's no big deal, and the mouse. Wireless mices scare me. Probably because I'm old enough to have been irreparably traumatized by my early wireless gaming experiences with Nintendo, Sega, Super Nintendo, etc.

Keep us posted on how the assembly goes. The one I'm planning will be my first also, so any tips you glean as a first-time builder would be awesome.

Personally would've gone with a different monitor like http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_gw2765ht.htm
And a different PSU, but otherwise not bad.
