First of all, despite every sim and my own beta testing on enh shammies telling me to re-roll i couldn't, my bad! So i leveled my enh shammie i so loved in MOP to 100. MY-GOD! Kill me with lightning, or wind! This class pulls such DPS that i feel like a under leveled hunter pet. Not to mention horrid "rotation" where i have a good 5 sec doing nothing but auto attacking. This spec is officially broken. Totems are just plain useless. """"Healing"""" stream, what a terrible joke, first aid is doing better. I usually pop it at random times because it just doesn't make any difference since i need to waste all my maelstrom stacks on self "healing" for a staggering 15k, BEHOLD THE HEALZ!! Searing, yet another joke, altho in comparison to "healing" stream it has it's uses. Like when i put it down and release that liquid magma that just manages to hit EVERY LIVING THING but my target. Cap totem is kinda nice, can't deny it, just requires a little planing. In general i don't see a big difference with or without totems and that's bad.
This next section bothers me a little more then it actually should and i didn't even start, oh the pain. Why did they decide to go with a wind theme for Ascendance. First i can barely see animation, second, if i managed to see it, it looks horrible. Minus points on that alone. Then like this wasn't enough, some brain decided that mastery should not affect Windstrike. What did that brain think? Shamans, such burst they had, give them nothing now. Windstrike looks and feels like a gentle breeze i am cooling other PVP players i encounter. We had nothing but burst, and i was OK with that. But now it like i am damaging myself in PVP. Just moment ago i encountered a feral druid in Ashran. One on one. I popped absolutely everything i had, including Bloodlust. Managed to get the guy on 80%, landed stun even before i face planted like a champ. He just walked over me, like when you kill a sudden unwanted add in a quest. Didn't even bother to pop his cooldowns. Is this balance? Should i use my BEST IN GAME RANGE INTERRUPT to stomp him to the ground? Or my great AOE that takes half an hour to set up? I had zero chance, no matter what i did. Nothing helps and that scares me.
It feels like they simplified stuff a little too much. Leaving us in a shitty spot in the process. We have two melee attacks that we can "spam" (they probably thing one too much I DON'T KNOW), useless totems that don't bring anything to the field but an occasional ground and stun (i don't even use tremor anymore since every player with a brain will right click it, fear me and then laugh to my face). Purge is clumsy and often combined with Wind Shear. Full global, one buff (have you seen a fat disco priest stacks!?) making it impossible to purge anything useful in a normal combat. Yes i could stand and just spam it all day long and that disco priest wouldn't even notice them missing. Not taking in the account the fact that i can't kill a healer, ever!
Like all of that wasn't enough, they decided to to give us the all mighty lvl 100 talents that have 0 use in PVP. Pick number one, shocks, sounded nice on wowhead talent calculator and in patch notes, in reality, takes too long to set up, then you need to wait for shock cd, it's just not wooow. Number two, yet another useless pet with bloodlust like cd i will not even comment on it, and final choice, RandomDealing"Damage"Totem, useful for AEO in i don't know where, raids?! If we ever managed to get invited in one (thank god for that dungeon queue system where i had a chance to test it out).
Mobility! Compared to rogues, warriors and druids, none. Compared to a sick person no problems here! Just put that 5hp Windwalk totem to the ground and you are fine for a full 6 sec. Has it's uses i'll give it that. Other 54 seconds while this is on cooldown i can just wonder about life as a rogue while hes doing circles around me EPIC MOUNT speeds, non-stop. Ok, we can't have everything but what do we have? Yea i almost forgot Spirit walk which is fine i guess for a quick slow dispel/gap closer.
BEHOLD THE WINDFURY! Now hitting 3 times (5 with a pvp set if i remember correctly) for a 40% weapon damage. Can't say i notice the procs on an oponent really since base attack is kinda meh. They should connect Flametongue with those WF procs at least in some way to make them count. Anyone remembers Elemental blast back from the MOP times? Turns out it does less damage now then a Lightning bolt.
I would really like to know how blizzard tests specs and balances them around since it looks like they just put random numbers in this time and we should now cope with it. Can we get a rollback to MOP enh shammie?
